I think this CnC track has the right ring to it. Nice synths, a quiet, almost serene like ambience, but with a dark uncanny feeling to it, as if something truly alien is approaching at the edge of ones vision.

They mostly express how society as a whole or portions of it feel about the conflict, rather than the conflict itself. At least that's what I think that the OP meant.
