Origin has every single pre-order bonus that any retailer has included plus it's own one aka the shotgun which no other places have. The only issue is it is the digital version so lacks just one thing item wise which is the N7 Patch.

Who cares about a patch?  I want the CE for the packaging and the litho.

However this is more for those who don't mind digital product than retail version in first place which OP said has no problem with. So those who trying to disagree with me saying they want retail only is pointless, my response was for the OP who said has no problem ordering through Origin so I let him know that Origin has all the pre-order items from (everywhere), even Gamestop but on top of that Origin also has something no others have which is the Shotgun. Only thing it does not have is the Fabric N7 Patch which cannot be downloaded obviously. Now maybe there is some regional difference but it states it does contain all the things I just listed on both Origin client and EA website store I just looked at.

I'm not concerned about the extra stuff, I just want the extra character and mission released as DLC or even an Online Pass at this point...I did have a CE preordered but the Gamestop I preorder everything botched my preorder and set it up for PS3 instead of Xbox 360 version

when they cite measurements like this, it's usually height (in inches) x width (in inches). in the case of the lithograph, it will be 4 inches tall (top to bottom) and 6 inches wide (side to side across).

4x6 Inches - the size of a standard photograph I believe.

As for the other topic - I was worried about that too, I was too slow for in store preordering, so I finally bit the bullet and bought the thing online.  BUT I certainly won't be waiting extra days for it to show up in the mail, so I'm gonna be picking up a normal copy, play it until the CE shows up, then decide what to do with it!  It may become a gift or be used for in-house multiplayer, we'll see!

For canadians: Best buy and Futureshop are still showing online ordering availability!

Making more defeats the whole purpose of making it a Collector's item. Besides, Bioware DID warn people to pre-order early. I was lucky enough to pre-order mine from Best Buy before they sold out of the 360 versions.

True, but where I live, in Brazil, it seems Origin has all the stuff too. Maybe it's because there isn't a Gamestop here, so they decided to release all the exclusive content through Origin.

Chris Priestly has already stated that more copies of the CE will not be made.  At this point your only two options would be to check online to see if you can import a copy, or wait and see if a copy becomes available at your local store if someone cancels their pre-order.

The best option for a person who thinks they'll be stuck buying the SE of the game, since there seems to be plenty of people making "extra" preorders as either insurance or to make sure they get the best gifts, check with your sellers during the day they go on sale and make sure your name is added to the call list for those hoping to snag a cancelled preorder. Maybe you'll get lucky, someone decides they don't really need 3 copies, cancels one, and you have a shot.

Actually I was looking at the CE and decided it's not worth it. I've pre-ordered the 'Art of the ME Universe' book, which is superior to the one in the CE. Then you have the fabric patch which I don't want, plus you can buy it at TFAW anyway. Then you have the lithograph and metal case which are meh, and there are rumours that you'll be able to buy the CE DLC on its own. Where's the advantage?

Ok, so maybe I should have pre-ordered earlier but I started looking a few months ago and even then it must have sold out of the Xbox 360 CE in the UK at game. In the US there are like 4/5 places you can buy the CE from but in the UK its one and I think that is unfair personally. Its like with Mass Effect 2 and all the bonus content in the US on Dr. Pepper promotions and stuff. I NEED the collectors edition!

Very true, I'm not familiar with the situation in countries where Gamestop isn't around. But from the OPs comments, it sounds like they're in the US.
