Don't sweat it, just visit your local stores or their websites, it's never too late despite all this "omg preorder 20 years ago like I did" attitude. And there's always deal makers after the fact. its true.  i just did a reservation tonight just incase bestbuy screws me.  also, bestbuy had some available on their site till today (check back eachday incase people cancel).  but there are places that you can get games that you normally wouldnt think of.  just sayin

I know right? I'm seeing people buying them for upwards of $100+ on ebay, knowledge is power.
I just checked bestbuy.com too, they even have the gift card reward still going strong, the closest 10 stores except 1 have them available.

I dunno. I didn't think they'd sell out because I had a major brain fart. My husband preordered his CE back last Jan...I wasn't even sure if I was getting it because I play ME on PC. So I just got the digital deluxe from Amazon because if I order from them I get the $10 Amazon credit and Target will charge me $14 plus tax just to get it on release day. Now if only Origin let us preload.

Aside from the novelty of having physical copies of collectors' items (imo, digital versions of things like a lithograph are borderline fraud), I just don't want to download 15GB, because that would take me more than a week on my dsl. The entire reason they charge these amounts for these games is pretty much because of the first day must have psycho bananza (which I totally understand). So might as well have it on the first day

This.  The only local retailer (as far as I know) in my country won't be selling CE.  If I import from another country, in addition to the selling price (which is higher than what it would have cost had it been available here), I would have to shell out more money because of shipping fees and customs duties.  I'm not really interested in the physical stuff.  I only want the in-game stuff.

Actually, that would explain some ebay purchases, I'd forgotten that not all countries have multiple options (sometimes only 1 or NONE!).

check places you wouldnt think to check if you still wanna pre order it. target, sears, toys r us come to mind. you can also see if a local hastings has it. worse comes to worst, call around on release day, someone is bound to have an extra copy or two. personally, i get to enjoy the 10 dollars in bestbuy credit with my pre order. feels great.

You seem to be new here, believe me, it's 1000x worse in many other threads. It's the official forum of multiple AAA titles, there will be children and then there will be manchildren. It's best to ignore both kinds of children and take into account the less common but greatly insightful members who post things of actual value.

There's no way Bioware isn't going to allow you to buy a squadmate. The robot dog and the outfits may be a different story. It's pretty fair.

I've been pre-ordering triple A games from Amazon for a few years now and I can tell you that this is now how they handle pre-orders. The last game who's collectors edition they gave monetary promotional credit  for was Halo Reach. Since then they give promotional credit for the standard edition but not the collectors.

I got mine pre-ordered but it got me concerned when I installed amalur.. it was basicly install origin and after that "physical copy" of the game.. I sure hope this wont be the case with ME3 >_< I want me3 not spyware *end of flame*

Im looking for a UK Xbox 360 version too...which basically means im screwed unless i feel like paying £200 for an ebay copy...depressing thing is, part of me is considering it...it wouldn't feel right, having a normal version next to my collectors edition 1 + 2 :/

We warned back in NOVEMBER that there was a risk of CE selling out quickly.
