Those that say that that Liara is some kind of stalker are just as wrong as those that say that Ashley is a bible-thumping racist. Liara is hardly obsessive, for the reason I stated in my earlier post. She's the least jealous of the ME1 LIs (she was open to a threesome with Ash or Kaidan) and she holds no animosity towards either Shepard or his new LI, if Shepard breaks it off with her for someone else.

Liara holding onto Shepard's armor is also not bizarre in any way. Even if she was unromanced she was still a comrade-in-arms that had been to hell and back with Shepard. Short of family there are no bonds tighter than the bonds forged between soldiers or Marines in war, and keeping something that reminds you of a person that has died is a fairly normal response to mourning. As for the dog tags, people in the military often keep another set in their boots. While it may sound morbid, it is so that if they are blown apart or decapitated their body can still be easily identified. It is likely Shepard was doing the same thing and the other set did go to Hannah.

Liara is obsessed, though.  Her reason for going through the Shadow Broker and giving Shep's body to Cerberus for resurrection is because she couldn't let you go, regardless of how much of a jerk you were to ME 1, regardless of if you let her stew in those ruins until after Virmire.  She didn't try to resurrect her mother or even try to recover her body, but she'll save Shep because she couldn't let him go~.

It's not healthy.

BlueMagitec I see your point here dude, it's not healthy behavior and given you never romanced Liara in ME1 it's creepy. I can write this stuff off as mind melding with Shep so many times and Shep popping her Virgin cherry all left her with some odd behavioal traits from my Shep, and also kinda forced her to grow up faster than she noramally would.

I see your point though given how you played the game yes that behavior is creepy and unhealty in your ME universe. It really can't be said and veiwed any other way.

But in others universe we can write it off as something like I did

Liara has been hunting for the Shadow Broker for two years to save Feron. I think it's a vital part of her character, both Feron and Shepard saved her life. She doesn't know with absolute certainty that Feron and Shepard are dead, so she's searching for them (and she wasn't the only one of Shepards friends who was looking for answers).

Same thing happened to me my first play-through of ME2. It made me feel a little dirty to promise Liara love and blue children and then immediately go bang Miranda in the engine room...

I'd be shocked if Bioware didn't include some dialogue about it in ME3 though since it seemed like a pretty major glitch in the story flags, especially since Liara is now the SB and she knows all... You know she's standing watching the Normandy cams and Shep taking showers and stuff.

But sincerely I'm holding out for the Vorcha romance option. Or Legion.

I can understand how some might find it endearing or at least tolerable if their Shepard romanced Liara, but the problem is that even if your Shepard hasn't, she acts the same way.  This could have been easily solved by a "Shepard, you're the only one with the Prothean Cipher, Shiala (if you left her alive) has lost her biotic power and the ability to merge with other Asari; etc etc", or something along those lines if you didn't romance her.

No, that's EDE's job to watch Shepard in the restrooms.  Hence her comments on it. :P

Ever consider that one of the reasons Liara had Shepard brought back was to battle the Reapers? Shepard is the one who killed Saren and Sovereign, the ones responsible for her mother's death.

It would seem reasonable that Liara would want revenge on the Reapers and Shepard is the best asset to fight them.

So wait that time my Shep was on the extranext watching fornax vids with a raging wood she was watching? She was watching that time my Shep was on the extranet and found the vids of Miranda and her sisters and their "Father"? She was watching when my Shepard was on the tolit suffering from the fallout of eating Krogan cooked Varen?
