To whomever it may concern,

I recently found out that you could mod Mass Effect 2 for the PC (yes, I know I am way behind the times). However, although I followed explicit instructions on how to mod the Coalesced.ini file to incorporate mods, when I go and try to run the game, it will not start. I try to start the game directly and skip the splashscreen, but i just get an hourglass for about 10 seconds, then nothing happens, as oppose to the game starting like it did before I modified the Coalesced.ini file. For some reason, when I downloaded a pre-modified Coalesced.ini file that allowed for a Xbox 360 controller to be used, that DID work. Am I missing something here? I am using the instructions in the first post here: http://social.biowar...03/index/983287. It still won't work for me, and I am using Notepad++. Can anyone help me? Either of the following would be great:


     1. Give me better instructions on how to correct whatever I am doing wrong (if I am doing anything wrong).
     2. Create a modified Coalesced.ini file for me that allows the use of a Xbox 360 controller and also allows the Soldier class to use the highest possible version of Throw/Heavy Thow, and infinite ammo (ammo drop by enemies still enabled as well as reload, but reserves don't decline).


Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Post in the modding forum, not the Tech forum, this is more for stock game issues, people in the modding forum can tell you better on modified games.

We are in ME-2 now, not either of the DA pair. There never has been any toolset for an ME, just products like the Gibbed Coalesc Editor, for which there are a couple of discussion threads here in this forum, but I don't have a link to either of those. Bogs has the links, however. Before his current tagline version, he had the Coalesced link in his signature as a tagline.

He doesn't show up here as often as before, but can be reached by a PM when he is visiting the ME3 forums.

LOL, true, the technical name is characters and Fan Creation forum....but that is where all real modding questions are handled.

One last thing before I go: where can I find the modding section of the forums? I have another question to ask, unless one of you could possibly answer it for me. I have the mod for the xbox 360 controller, but was wondering if it could be modified to allow the mouse to be used as well, since when I go the the pause menu, I can not navigate it with the controller and the mouse won't work.
