Okay, so I'm trying to get a canon run through Peak 15, but I'm annoyed with something... It's about the science teams and how there's no way for me to ensure their safety - at least with the way I'm doing it. Basically here's how I'm doing the missions:
1. Speak to Ventralis (he says Benezia is probably still in the Hot Labs - as far as he can tell)
2. Speak with everyone in Rift Station, upper level
3. Get Ventralis' permission to make cure
4. Talk to Han Olar and make cure
5. Kill Alesta Iallis
6. Talk to Han Olar to find out who can give Shep access to the back area (Shep now suspects Benezia is actually back there, but doesn't suspect Ventralis is a part of it because Alesta killed Ventralis' guard)
7. Inform Ventralis that his guard was killed by Alesta
8. Talk to Dr. Cohen - he tells Shep the guards have blocked access to certain areas (which doesn't necessarily seem odd given the quarantine), but that he believes they've been expecting Shep
9. At this point, Shep isn't sure if Cohen is just paranoid or if Ventralis and his guards have been compromised - in either case Shep decides to go to the lower level of Rift Station and go through the underground maintenance area undetected to go after the geth and Benezia.
10. Shep defeats Benezia and talks to the Rachni; Shep let the Rachni live
11. Shep goes to the Hot Lab to take out the rest of the Rachni
12. Shep leaves Peak 15.... but cannot go back to Rift Station to check up on the scientists. There isn't even any acknowledgement that Shep wants to investigate the situation to make sure neither the science teams or guards have been compromised :/
So is there any way to reconcile point 12? Do I just roleplay it and imagine Shep calls someone to check up on them?

No there isn't any way to go back and check on them. But you could imagine that with the Rachni and Geth / Benezia threat eliminated they will be fine.
There is an alternate order to do the mission, but you will end up killing all the security.
