Haha. Dietz was satisfied with his book too.

Was he?  Then that is what matters, everyone has a fluke when others actually read it.

But writing a book and making a game are similar but still different beasts so I wouldn't say that's a good comparison.  Unless you are implying BioWare makes sh*tty games.

Not at all. I wouldn't be here if they did. I just recognize that I would expect them to make the smart business rather than the smart social decision.

I'm a fickle customer with little brand loyalty. I'm only around so long as the material is to my tastes. So far, it always has been, with any problems being small enough for me to ignore.

Incinerator, f you had followed dev commentary in the past 6 months, you'd realize how false that statement is.

The narrative will be just fine, the reasons of which I and Cheez have already gone over regarding cut content.

I don't believe what the Dev's say without actual proof.  They can say anything to make the majority of people here feel better about waiting.  Had Casey not made an unofficial reputation of misinforming people, I would be inclined to agree with you more.

Perhaps they arent aware they need to since MP isnt big enough to cut content.

The question's out there.  Whether they're aware or not who can say.

And how do you know iMP isn't big enough to cut content?

Because they use the same texture/models and pretty much everything than in the SP? Plus, ME2 didn't even use all the disk on the XBox 360.

Yeah I can honestly say I'm not at all really worried about ME3's narrative and I TRY to stay away from MOST spoilers.

That said, if I can get 15 playthroughs out of it... I'll be happy :)

Pretty much.  If the game doesn't hold up to expectations, clear the 1000 GS, let the game grab some dust, and jump back over to Armored Core March 20th.

You seriously think all those different people tweeting about the audio/level/gameplay/graphics work they've been doing were all executing some enormous ruse in order to pretend that the game wasn't already finished?

If I ever get cynical enough to disregard a dev or someone working on an actual game... that's the day I stop playing.

As of now, I have no reason to distrust them over info on a game.  Its not that important in anyway whatsoever, thus I have no worries over it.

I trust bioware to make a game I will enjoy playing and thats it, at this point, i'm not gonna sweat details and minor disinformation that may be nothing more than a quote or line in the game being rewritten.

I mean why would i need to distrust the people MAKING the game for my enjoyment and their profit?

Look.  Bioware prides itself on telling good stories.  They're not gonna cut the meaty parts.  Sidequests?  Sure.  Dialogue?  With little more than a regretful sigh.  Levels?  Yeah, definitely (lol lol DA2).  But the narrative?  No, that will always be intact.  Even if it's modular and character-centric (ME2) or cliché and hokey (ME1), it will at least be whole.  The fact that they chose to work on it for a few more months instead of chucking it out the door a la DA2, the fact that the writers are so excited and passionate about their work, the fact that the actors were crying in the booth and so and so on should be enough proof that, yeah, they care about delivering here.

Plus, you know, I read the script.  Even in its incomplete state, it looked like one helluva game.  And there were entire levels missing from that damn thing.

I hope you're right.  I really, truly hope so.

And I've read the script too.  It's pretty much the reason I'm even considering buying the game new.

Ahahaha, best way to get a vacation EVER!

"Oh yeah, we're working hard on the- **** CHECK YOUR FLANK, you're going to get creamed up there! I'm sorry, what was I saying? Oh right, game, yeah working on it. Totally under control....2 more months...eh make it 3. Four. Whatever, leave me alone"

There are several ways to misguide someone without directly lying to them.  I don't believe them, I just know they know what they're doing.

I've played with enough Dev teams to know when they're deliberately not going to do something, not going to listen, when they will, and if they're going to say something to make you feel better.
