ummm...so play one if you want one that badly?

Here's why I don't see this as a problem:

1) Vanguards don't have that many powers. You can get better results from biotics with an adept or sentinel type character. The only thing they're missing is a shotgun

2) I know it's all based on playstyle, but seriously, who uses a shotgun as a primary weapon? I never could justify playing a vanguard. I tried it once and I hated it. I'm a Sentinel man myself

Charge, incendiery ammo, pull and shockwave are actaully pretty awesome once you learn how to use them. Also, the Claymore is a beast of a weapon.

Vanguard are useless without Charge, and since Vanguard squademates doesn't have Charge it's not big loss

Shepard and Vasir are the only awesome Vanguards

I play all my Engineers, Sentinels and Infiltrators with Shotguns. It works wonders.

Anyway, yes there are Vanguards. If you equip Liara with a shotgun she essentially is one right there. Lets recap, who were the vanguards in ME2? Jacob maybe? Jack? Why would you consider these vanguards? They had some standard abilities plus a shotgun. 

Now, with the new weapon system you can give anyone any weapon you want. At the end of the day there weren't really any Vanguards before anyway, they were biotic specialists. In ME3 that's not any different. 

Unless you want party members to get iconic Vanguard abilities such as Charge and Nova, in which case.. that would be pure chaos.

Ahem, Vega's a soldier but more "tank" (skillset: Carnage, Fortification, Incendary ammo and Frag grenade)
