Vanguards and infiltrators are the two best classes.
And Wrex is the best squaddie in ME1.
And Jack, even though she is only ½ vanguard.
And i love my shotgun and Charge!!!!!!!!!!

In ME2, I initially played Infiltrator. I mean who doesn't like sniping? And the bullet time was cool. Then I got bored because of it since it felt like the only thing I could do...and made a Vanguard character. I freaking loved it.

You really freaked me out there OP. I thought for a second that you meant the Vanguard was gone from the player choices. My main character is a Vanguard and I would have been very disappointed if I couldn't start with a Vanguard as I have for ME1 & 2.

It's the BEST minigame in ME2, and probably will be in ME3.

Yeah shockwave on the Derelict Reaper and that abandoned mine is a lot of fun. There should've been more levels with husks as enemies though.

I've always found Mass Effect soldier's to be the superior class, beyond just being easier to play. I like the idea of the vanguard, but every time I tried to play one in ME 1, I'd get bored and miss all the weapons, armor and toughness that comes with being a soldier.

This. Until my Vanguard FemShep specialized in sniper rifles. Then it was just overkill.

Thane is a surprisingly brutal vanguard, especially combined with... another vanguard who pingpong shotgun punches everything and Garrus.

I'm going to miss that if I can't have something similar in 3. And not just for the awesome voice squad.

Wrex is the obvious choice here.

Jack would have also been acceptable in her new form.

It's not gonna change though.

Fortunately, the prothean squadmate is pretty much a vanguard.
