This game surprised me with the quality of voice actors, only complaint I had was I kept hearing Jowan wherever I went. Not that I didn't like his voice, it just seemed to pop up more often then others.

Tim Curry dissapointed me in this game. He's not meant to play scrawny old men. Howe needed meat on him.

Don't worry. Under the clothes he's just as ridiculously buff as every other male human in the game.

Duncan's voice was refined and yet masterful. I really enjoyed it and wanted more of it.

Whoever played Morrigan. Love listening to her banter while wandering around town!

Wow, here I am making this thread and I had no idea that Tim Curry was Howe!  Probably because I didn't find Howe that impressive, but that certainly wasn't Curry's fault; you just don't have many options with a character who looks so shrewish.

I liked Templeman's Loghain too, especially during his more subtle, quiet moments.  However, those were few and far between since he usually seemed to be doing the "with my role everything needs to be huge and overly violent" routine.  That could have been directing more than acting too, so I won't hold it against him.

Claudia Black's performance did have some wonderful nuance as well, especially in the talks surrounding her companion quest, but as with Loghain I found Morrigan to be too over-the-top most of the time.  Her voice is stunningly beautiful and she's obviously quite talented, but I just can't quite get over the character interpretation.  Oh well; still a pleasure to listen to.

Just to note, Tim Curry also did Bann Urien in the City elf origin. He is more Tim Curry there.

I love Claudia Black and Alistair's voice acting.

Having just now done that origin, yeah I totally see that.  Much more himself.

Totally off-topic, but as I just finished doing a monologue from Caligula, I just have to say: nice name.;)

The moment I heard the Dallish leader speak in the Brecillian forest, I instantly had images in my head of Tuvok the Vulcan (Tim Russ).

Same :)

I thought that too. And I thought Flemeth was voiced by Kate Mulgrew who played Capt. Janeway.

EDIT: Oh, Flemeth is voiced by Kate Mulgrew. Image IPB

that pretty reamarkable, because without having read this thread first I ALSO immediately thought of Tim Russ.
I knew Mulgrew was in the game from the beginning so it was pretty easy to spot her as soon as the character appeared

Corrine Kempa did rather wonderful work, but this is the first I've been exposed to her. If she keeps it up, she could be quite the contender.

Agreed. I think she has a beautiful voice. Love the accent.

^This.

The voice acting was well done of course, but only once or twice did someone stand out to me, but I don't think they were very important characters so I'm having a tough time recalling who they were.

Also, most of the dwarf voices didn't seem right to me, but I guess that's because I've been jaded? By other games where they always have a raspy-spittling-like scottish voice.

I can't talk to Lanaya because I keep picturing Ashley from Mass Effect.

I kept expecting her to go on some sort of racist rant or something.

I love all the voice acting. If I had to pick just one as my favorite, I really enjoy listening to Morrigan. If Duncan had a longer lasting role in the story, he'd be my pick.

Alastair. I played Uncharted 2 just before DA:O and he plays Harry Flynn in that game, and it was awesome to hear them both, since Flynn is a douche nugget, and Alastair, IMO, is not. :P

Also, does anyone else think the Elf 'cocky' voice sounds like Han Solo?

Tough choice, since IMO the was a lot of excellent VO work in this game. But Steve Valentine, Kate Mulgrew and Claudia Black were my favourites. Someone else that deserves a mention is whoever did the VO of Hespeth.

they are voice actors too.

just not the same ones people are talking about, but they are still voice actors.

they could have picked at least one with a deep mature voice, thats all im saying.
