Steve Valentine

I don't really understand the Flemeth love. Is it just recognizing a familiar voice? Not that she isn't good, but the part seemed less than meaty. I thought Mulgrew did more with Branka.

All in all I thought it was best voice acting I've heard in a video game (although I really wished David Warner would have had a part in the game). I'm particular fond of Leliana and Isolde. Probably not for the right reasons but I'm a sucker for a French accent.

Morrigan, Flemeth, Alistair are all astounding. They speak more than they say thanks to good casting and script writing. Flemeth is so amusing that when you learn she is centuries old, and go back to listen.... that's what a centuries-old woman sounds like.

I think a harder task would be to find a weakspot in the voice acting, it's incredible. Never have I laughed so loud and so hard just from dialogue.

Daveth: She's a witch of the wilds I tell you! She'll put us all in the pot she will!

Ser Jory: It'll be a welcome change if it's warmer than this forest.

Got a real kick too out of Alistair and his accent. An English accent on a man is sexy enough on its own, but Steve Valentine managed to give the character warmth, charm, and humor. He was able to pull off the whole range of the bundle of contradictions that is Alistair.

I actually thought Flemeth was kind of bad. Kate Mulgrew sounded like she was phoning it in.

I was impressed by the Dwarf (female) captain for Brahka, the one talking leading up to the Broodmother scene, sounded a bit like Sigourney Weaver, which was cool, since that scene has overtones of Aliens

Steve Valentine, hands down. I also played Uncharted 2 first, and I didn't even notice it was the same VA until my boyfriend pointed it out XD

I think it's quite exciting to have two people who played roles in Star Trek Voyager do voice acting in DAO.

The moment I saw the first trailer that Flemeth was in I thought "damn... you know that Voice from somewhere" :D

They should have gotten Nolan North and Emily Rose, as well.

The only point in the game where I got completely taken up in the acting was with Wade (the armorsmith in denerim) and his assistant, so whomever did those two would be my favorite(s).

All the characters are done extremely well but I could almost always hear/see the voice behind the character. I'm thinking it has to do with the facial animation. Wade's armor emporium is the only place I can think of where it completely took me up in the moment.

She just has that perfect story telling voice in my opinion, she makes for a great voice actor and she does a great Flemeth ^^

Steve Blum's hard to beat, if for no other reason than reminding me of Jack in Madworld, which then brings to mind John Di Maggio and Greg Proops as the announcers.

I was amused that the voices of both Captain Janeway and Aeryn Sun were in this game.

As for a favorite...I don't know.

Well, I've always loved Simon Templeman, ever since Legacy of Kain. But I don't suppose there was anything particularly phenomenal about Loghain.

I loved Claudia Black though. I thought I'd be disappointed that there was no Jennifer Hale doing her Fall-From-Grace voice, but I'd say Morrigan covered the pretty English accent just fine.

But all in all, I adore Alistair. I'd bromance that charmer any day, he's a champ. :P

Gorim for me.

Although my favourite voice actor of all time would be Thomas Fritsch (He's the german Voice actor for Jeremy Irons, Russel Crowe and Disneys Scar - search for "Be prepared" on Youtube to actually hear him ;) )

For anyone who's watched the English dubbed Naruto, you may recognise Yuri Lowenthal doing lots of npc voices in the game (mage collective guy, apprentices, deserters). He was Sasuke in Naruto. Interestingly enough, I saw Tara Platt listed in the credits but I couldn't place her in the game yet. Yuri and Tara are both married in real life I think. Steve Blum really gets around, he played large parts in Naruto too! Zabuza and Orichimaru!

For anyone that's played Assassins Creed you will recognise Peter Renaday as Al'mualin. Excellent voice and great choice for Duncan. I really wish he was in the game for longer.

I'm not sure about my favourite, it's pretty hard. I have to say that Steve Valentine doing Alistair did a really excellent job, but I could listen to Leliana telling all her stories over and over...
