No, what's your point? I was not aware the Mass relays were agents in the story, afterall that's what a character is. Whats your point? The mass relays had more to do with the Mass Effect story than Freeman did in Halflife, so does that make the Mu relay a character or does it make it a plot device?
Now, you might say that Gordon doesn't develop much as a character, which is true, but you can't really say he's not one, can you? Unless you're being sarcastic and if that's the case then I'll just drop it.
