Actually, imagine the Assassin Brotherhood still existing into the future during the Mass Effect period.  

"Those who came before" could have been a proto-human race in the ME universe and the entire set of events leading to this point of the AC storyline could totally fit into the ME universe.  The "Pieces of Eden" could be a riff on modified Reaper indoctrination technology that TWCB had designed based on artifacts that they found.  

In the ME timeline, the Templars could (and hypothetically would) totally jive with the goals and methods of Cerberus.  They'd be completely for humanity first and domination through strength.  I could see the ranks of Cerberus being rife with Templars.

I'm actually kind of upset that this isn't going to happen now.  It would have been awesome to have followed the Assassin vs Templar storyline into the Mass Effect setting where we've now got aliens, a background on what the Pieces of Eden are, a possible reason for the catastrophe that's going to happen to the sun in the current AC timeline (they could say it was going to be like Haestrom's sun) and extra tools and weapons for the Assassins to play with.  

Biotic Assassins with hidden Omni-blades, free-running through Omega's streets after taking down a Cerberus/Templar operative.  My god, WHY WON'T THIS HAPPEN!!!  BioWare, call UbiSoft NOW!!!

Shepard being a descendant of  Desmond, how the  Assassins and Templar took the war to the Galaxy,   So how tie that  Hanar and the  Drell in the Assassins order.    Thane reminds me of  Ezio from Revelations so much.

Galactus manifest in  a  form in  which the spieces looking at him can  comprehend and he can  manifest in anysize he chooses.  

In Short  Galactus to the  Reapers would look vastly different than the Galactus we see.  

But I would love to see Harbinger try to talk down to Galactus and have Galactus verbally  **** slap them back to dark space.
