Yes, thumb sticks limit your full potential in an FPS.

I ain't gonna argue with an idiot so I'm out.

As both a PC gamer and a console gamer, you can do significantly more with a mouse than a gamepad. That's just how it is, yo.

inb4platform war and inb4gamepads suck.

Yes, M/K is better, but that doesn't make gamepads any less valid.

Indeed, I used to be a console gamer and was very accurate with those things.

Like for example, Gears of War (Easily one of the more skill intensive shooters on consoles), it is NOT easy to have your shotgun, waltz in to a pack of people, and snap shot them all, especially when you factor in things like evasion, wallbouncing, etc.

It's not hard to master with time and basic intelligence.

Just like most RTS's and RPG's.

No, just... No.

I feel the need to ask, how many awards do you have, and how many livestreams have you been featured on, since it's so easy?

Never said it was easy, just said one can do more with a keyboard and mouse. They are both perfectly valid and funtional methods of input for most every kind of genre, shooters included.

I have almost all the WoL awards/achievements and I placed Platinum barely even trying to. My friend I played with (who has signifcantly more SC2 time than I) placed in the Grand Master league.

I can tell from experience all RTS and RPG's take is time and basic intelligence to "get good" at. The only "skill" based gaming comes from FPS which require the PLAYER be able to perform certain feats. I suppose wew can give RTS and RPGS some "skill" since you need to have keypad/key movements down but other than that...

...quit wasting my time.

Quit being a typical PC elitist and know when to fold em.

Deffinitions change with time and RPG's aren't simple stat games anymore.

I know, I was just providing an example because I know people like to hop on the "PC 4ever, consoles r garbage" bandwagon.

Well that's nice. You know it's popular opinion among the pro gamer community that Wings is much easier than Brood War? And that the pro-Broodwar community have only been getting better with each of the 12 or so years that have passed? Good luck, you have a lot of catching up to do.

They also consider Brood War the best 1v1 game for SC.

Good for them. This also has nothing to do with the fact that you are talking out of your rear.

As a shooter fan, and as someone who ACTUALLY PLAYS "twitch shooters" such as CS, Call of Duty etc. these threads always make me laugh.

Mass Effect is NOTHING LIKE a twitch shooter. And I don't really mind that.

Because it's irrelevent to me being knowledgable on how SC2 and RTS work.

Keyboard arrows are too, a perfectly valid and functional input method for shooters.

Well at least I can be glad that Mass Effect 3 is more of a stat game than ME2.

OP...not sure if you played me2, but its gonna be more like that. I think the destination was found then. There is no route me3 is taking in terms of whatever it is you define as "twitchy shooter"

it is what it is in terms of game play.

PC gamers are smarter than console gamers
also, those who like twitchy shooters are dumber than tactic players
etc etc etc etc etc etc

Agreed. If you want to know what an actual twitch shooter is like, go play Quake Live. It's both a great game and free!

People think that weapon training = badly designed gameplay.

It is when you still actually have to AIM manually.

Pick one...either the player is responsible for how accurate the shots are or the character is responsible. Having both is just an exercise in frustration..I despise this feature in Fallout as well...
