I successfully imported my first ME1 shepard to ME2, but now I cannot import my second shepard. The files are yellow, not green like the "valid mission complete" files are. I tried to troubleshoot by restarting the xbox several times, completing the game again (so now I have two yellow files of the same character on the import screen), but to no avail.
I'm sure this problem has come up a lot so if you can just link to a thread that has suggestions for fixing this it would be much appreciated.

Try Deleting the Mass Effect 2 Transfer Utility which is saved in your Xbox, then try reloading another character in the Utility. Hope that Helps.
