I don't even see the point of this thread, but strategy guides are pointless to buy, it'll all be free online on the Wiki and stuff eventually anyway.

I'm surprised it doesn't have exclusive DLC.

That behind the scenes stuff should be in the N7 edition of ME3. You don't bundle that **** with a strategy guide.

People still use guides when games nowadays tell and show you exactly where and what you're supposed to do?

I don't get it...

It seems the guide gets released earlier at Gamestop retailers, while other stores seem to be releasing
the guide when the game launches.=]

agrees with battlepope190

What is the point?
Getting stuck in games is a thing of the past.

Also as to complete the sentence. strategy guide contains spoilers.
whats the point?

Guides aren't worth wiping your behind with these days..way too expensive for things you can just find on the internet (puzzle solutions, collectible locations, etc). Back in the N64 days though..they were worth something.

I miss the days when developers released behind the scenes disks with collectors editions, never anymore though.

Ha!  Are you kidding me?  Guides come out literally hours and days after the game's release and at that point all I'm doing is playing through the campaign and I don't need a guide to help me do that.  I have no use for the contents for one of those books these days so it would be a waste of money, not being cheap.

Was I the only one who expected bonus DLC in the list? Come on now, EA. You're missing out an opportunity here.

The Guides come release day or before, where have you seen a guide release after a game is
just stupid, if you're a completionist then yeah it is useful and to some it is not a waste of money.

For me and a lot of people its all about collecting. A collector collects. I never use it for walkthroughs. I use it for collection purposes.

But only for games I truly love.

Why would anyone want to know everything about a game before they've even played all of it!? I don't read books & skip ahead to see who did it, ruins the whole story! This is the same thing. First playthrough, for me, is about discovering the game, following the narrative & learning by trial & error what armour/weapons are best, what decisions are best & give what outcomes etc.....

Maybe at a later date, in order to get the best stuff & max paragon/renegade score..... but after I already beaten the game & won't be hit with major plot spoilers!
