I know you can carry only one if you want, what about none?

As interesting and potentially badass as it sounds, I seriously doubt it. Does having less weapons reduce recharge time in the first place?

Yes. specifically weapon weight. If you only carry an SMG as an Adept you will be able to use powers MUCH more frequently than if you carried an SMG, SR and SG.

Doubt you'll be able to, you are a soldier of the alliance either way you look at it. But I can see my Vanguard ONLY carrying a shotgun.

I"d think you add least want to have a sidearm handy but if you want to do your best Samara impression (in TIM voice) by all means.

That would completely defeat the purpose of ME gameplay - which is about using your weapons and powers combined. I don't think it will be possible to start a mission without a weapon anyway. You likely have to equip at least one. Obviously you're free to ignore it but you don't get faster cooldowns in return.

It would be really cool if you had the option to just carry a light pistol and then have a really quick cooldown time. I like the idea of being able to play with (almost) all powers. I guess it depends on if they could find a way to balance it so that you're neither overpowered nor unable to defend yourself when you get flanked.

It would be interesting. Adept already doesn't really need a gun in ME2 if you use squad powers effectively. It would certainly switch up gameplay, being unable to shoot but able to spam powers like crazy.

Soldier, so I don't care unless they have that god-awful global cooldown again.

Shepard used an ammo power, no one can use biotics for for 10 seconds!

I hope at least one weapon is mandatory.

You'll likely HAVE to have at least one gun on you at all times for cutscene purposes.

I assume most of those are just magically conjured in like they were before anyway.

Someone asked the devs this on twitter a long time ago. You are forced to carry at least one gun.

"You need to have at least one gun. Very expensive to have no guns at all on the animation side."

You mean like the Cerberus Phantom armed with only biotic and a katana sword. Sure why not I'm game for that idea. But, how are you expecting to kill big prey like Atlas and Reapers.

Handheld Himselfs Shepard uses kung Fu and has maximum reduced cooldowns. Handheld Himselfs Shepard does not believe in the way of the gun instead opting for the way of the gentle armored right hook.

this will be the case. you can run around with only a predator and have UBER-cooldown-reduction.

can you wear no armor so that you are just constantly bathing in biotics?

iirc ammo powers don't activate any cooldowns any more.

I think for my Adept and Engineer I am taking either the lightest-ass pistol or SMG there is and rolling with that for the whole game!

I play a gun heavy Vanguard, so I'll see what I roll with when the game launches.
