Am I the only one who thinks that the new default N7 armour looks out of proportion? Especially the chest part as it makes Shep look like a bodybuilder compared to the ME2 N7 armour which in my opinion looks so much better. I think its because of the shoulder pads which are not big enough (or curved/rounded for this matter) compared to the old one.

Also, are the old versions of armours available for use? I never used any armour piece for my 2 male!sheps, I sticked to the default N7 armour because it's so iconic for me.

Why don't you give us a pic if you're going to ask us what we think about it.

I dread to think what you think of the N7 Defender armor if you feel the new default N7 armor is out of proportion.

I hope there are armour options that are a bit more svelte, like the old Light armour. From what we've seen, there are only "big" and "huge" options.

It makes sense for the armor to be bulkier. Everyone is getting geared up to fight the reapers.

It looks a bit too shiny for my tastes, I liked the more matte finish of ME and ME2.

Love it.

I just wish I can customize it too.

the only thing i don't like of the new armor are the red lights, but that detail is very minor

I'm sure we'll be able to change the finish like in ME2.

We are going to be able to customize any Armors and gears right? I hope, I found the lack of customizing in Mass Effect 2 kinda meh. I hope for more parts, designs, patterns, colors as well other things. I hope for better and fully covered HELMETSs. I found some in Mass Effect 2 pretty stupid, dumb. I though can't wait. I hope we get much!!!

Uh how?  Its just modified ME1 heavy armor standard to Alliance marines.  That doesn't mean its better or cooler really..

That said I plan to have my Shep use a similar color scheme to the Alliance colors in my first playthrough to make him seem like he's part of the Alliance, but I don't hold any illusions that I want to make him look like the rank and file.

it'd be cooler without the Alliance logo on the helmet (just my opinion).

No I prefer the default N7 armour in ME3 to the default N& armour we had in ME2. I prefer the way the chest plate looks and the I prefer the new shoulder pads ( especially the silver metallic finish on those shoulder pads ). I never really cared for any of the armour in ME1, it all looked a bit weird to me.

I don't know because I like the look of it and the Alliance is badass?  Kind of a strange response acting like an opinion on the look of something can somehow be considered incorrect. Also, everything in Mass Effect 3 is modified from ME1 in case you didn't know.
