Using love to defrost the ice queen was heartwarming, especially the golden mirror gift.  I dare say I think it's the most enjoyable Bioware romance thus far, especially when the Warden is a goody-two-shoes nice guy and she's... Morrigan.  Kind of like an "opposites attract" type of thing.

I really wish they hadn't decided to ditch the Hero of Ferelden, and I hope Morrigan will be in a future Dragon Age game.

Morrigan is a favorite of mine as well. It will be interesting to see her and Flemeth duke it out in a future installment.

*totally roots for Morrigan*

I never romanced Morrigan, but I really did love how she and my Warden became friends :) I do think her story is pretty much over, though.

If her story is over, then that means the thing about the eluvian and the "god baby" was all swept under the rug, and never happened... or nothing came of it, anyway. Sure would be a waste of foreshadowing.

Yeah, but for some players the god baby doesn't even exist, and others of us never even played Witch Hunt.  It would be too hard to take into account everyone's choices.

I hated Morrigan and am happy that she's gone.

She's a great character mind you, nothing against good writing; i just disliked her.

I really enjoyed Morrigan. It was nice to see her shell crack when you showed concern for her. I never player a male Warden, so never romanced her, but her friendship path was wonderful too. She was the sister my Warden never had. ♥

I need Morrigan back. She's the only BW character I really cared about.

I thought Morrigan was a very well-written character (and it showed), but I would rather see a new character with equally good writing than see her return. Simply because I know that no reappearance could be fun as seeing her character and getting to know her for the first time. With a new character that can happen again.

Truly? You were never touched by any other character? I can name a handful that affected me profoundly.  But perhaps it's different (more intense) if you are a male who romances her.

Morrigan is teh awesome sauce. :o

I doubt she'll have more than a "guest appearance" in the next game though. She can't be important to the story, because it's possible to kill her. That would leave a massive hole in the games logic and importing XD

Touched, yes. Cared about, not really.

I was touched by Saren, by Miranda, by Jack. Didn't really care for them though.

Yes. We do need Morrigan to come back, but only with the Warden.

I suppose I was vague. I meant did other characters touch your heart and make you care/love them, but it seems not.

I guess I have an easy heart. Alistair, Anders, and Morrigan made me really love them, with their personalities and all their flaws and insecurities.

I think you are right. I think we will be moving on with the next Dragon Age game, and there will fewer characters we would see on import.

Er, this makes no sense if the Warden didn't really romance her or even friend her.  My Warden was friends with her, for example, but after the Blight ended, he never saw her again.  Plus she did the ritual with Alistair, not the Warden.

Oh, and I didn't even realized Morrigan could be killed.  If that's true, then there's no way she can be brought back, unless it's from an imported save and it's a very tiny brief little quest.

I forgot to add...  Who could forget that Morrigan had Claudia Black's sexy voice?  lol  But um, never mind about that... :innocent:

Ah, yeah.  I tried sparing Loghain one time, but after knowing what would happen to my friend Alistair, I couldn't go through with it.  He strives to be a good person, while maintaining a sense of humor, and I can always respect that.  Morrigan and Alistair were my favorite party members in DA: Origins.  I love that line at camp where Alistair is talking to you about your companions and says something about Morrigan that ends with "...no, I don't like her at all."  I think I literally laughed out loud when I heard him say it.

I think what I enjoyed most of all about Morrigan is that although people online were quick to call her an evil *****, I could see that there was a person with a heart on the inside.  It is truly rewarding, whether you become her friend or her lover.  Evil would be more like... Hanharr (KOTOR 2).  Though, you could also label him as simply insane.

Wait. You can kill Morrigan? I'm not sure that's actually true.

And even so, we have already seen that Bioware has no qualms about dismissing a character death scene as "oh, well, you only thought they were dead, next time check for a pulse first," so whether or not a character was killable in Origins has no bearing on possible future appearances.

Edit:  And I just checked Youtube.  I dimly remembered hearing that the "killing scene" in Witch Hunt involved throwing a knife at her while she is leaving through the mirror, which left open the obvious storyline that the Warden, well, missed.

According to Youtube, that is incorrect.  You can actually stab Morrigan through.  However, she does disappear through the mirror, and there is nothing conclusive about her facial expression as she does to indicate that she's dead before she passes through.  So it is still left wide-open that she could very easily have survived.  But even beyond that, this is Morrigan, after all.  If Flemeth has a built-in failsafe against being killed--even Morrigan states that she doesn't believe killing Flemeth will actually be killing her--then why wouldn't Morrigan?  She is, after all, aaaaalllll about survival.

You can stab morr but my guess is she doesnt die because she goes through the mirror and that is open to interpretation but she probably survived it because she seems like too important a character to the da universe

^ That's what I think too.  Because if she was really dead, they wouldn't have made a point about her falling through the mirror.

The problem with Morrigan is that she IS so popular. How do Bioware bring her back without these pages going into meltdown? Everyone has their own idea of where her story should go and the ending of Witch Hunt left more questions than answers. Would not envy the writer tasked with writing her into a future story.

I missed a lot of the DAO companions in DA2. Not that I didn't like the DA2 companions, most of them were cool too :)

I would love Morrigan as a player character. There's so many directions you can go with her. Letting the player decide could be the ultimate win/win cop-out for any writer worried about pissing the fans off.

This is pretty much the case with every character ever created by anyone.  Fans always do have their own ideas about where a character's storyline should go.  Suggesting that these pages would go into meltdown is kind of silly, given that there is already plenty of fan controversy centering on a lot of characters, Anders probably being the biggest one.  Morrigan isn't going to create any more of a fan firestorm than has already occurred here, and even if she did, well, again, it wouldn't exactly be a surprise to Bioware.  And I doubt that her writer dreads fan retribution.
