I, too, think that Morrigan was an awesome character.  Even in the most frustrating parts of the romanace with her, where she's literally snapping at you for weird, little things, it makes sense.  She's experiencing love for the first time in her life and it's kinda starting to freak her out.

Morrigan was, I think, the very best character in Origins. You get a feel for her as a person which is very appealing; she's been taught all her life to mistrust and use other people, is in fact on a mission to exploit you for some eldritch purpose, but she's coming to terms with another side to herself that she doesn't particularly like and sometimes fears.

Some of the hints dropped in the game were especially interesting - the Ash Warriors apparently tell a story about a Morrighan'an from the distant past. And when you fight Flemeth, she gives me the strong impression that either Morrigan has flat-out lied to you to get you to kill Flemeth, or there is something more to this struggle than is immediately apparent.

Returning in another game...well, I admit, that would be tricky, since it's possible to...send her away, kill her, or impregnate her with a child who will possess the soul of a tainted god (who may or may not be the rightful king of Ferelden) and leave Thedas with her to explore some strange new dimension. I mean, that's a wide range of options.

However, having played Dragon Age II and seen the bargain Hawke makes, stranger things have apparently happened once or twice before. It seems to me that she could be "revived" under ambiguous circumstances. Certainly it's no stranger than a Warden who died on top of Fort Drakon returning as Warden-Commander of Amaranthine.

If her story is over, then that means the thing about the eluvian and the "god baby" was all swept under the rug, and never happened... or nothing came of it, anyway. Sure would be a waste of foreshadowing.

Yeah, but for some players the god baby doesn't even exist, and others of us never even played Witch Hunt.  It would be too hard to take into account everyone's choices.

They should have made the Witch Hunt free DLC. Then I'm sure ALOT of people would have gotten this ending. And those who saw that Morrigan and the Old God baby was an important plot point would have probably downloaded it.
