You have an Intel graphics solution don't you???
Search this forum for the fix, something about downgrading the driver to a previous to get it to work on Intel graphic card, but they aren't supported officially and may or may not damage due to overworking it, as it really isn't designed to game.

person stop telling people that. we get you hate intel. but there are solutions.

I just wanted to post here so that people know I found the solution to the problem.
If your PC is running a Intel HD 3000 graphics driver, when you try to open the menu it will result in a crash and will bring you back to windows. there is however a solution that dose not require you to go out and by a new PC the solution is to use the older .2361 drivers.
you can download this from

once you install that the game will function beautifully. you can hit escape all day long and you won't crash to desktop
Thanks again everyone. See you around.

"Beautifully" is an exaggeration, and the reason the game doesn't try to operate with any other Intel video drivers is that the strain of attempting to handle chores so far above the designed capacity are quite likely to damage the system itself as a result.

The fact that some people are too badly brain-washed by the Intel Corporation to be able to shop intelligently for a better system that costs less and meets the minimum requirements is because the Federal Government didn't apply a large enough fine on Intel for its illegal behaviors, not because the minimum requirements are incorrect.

Truth is, most games are not designed to support the Intel GPU. It should be noted that that many laptops are required to use the laptop manufacturer's drivers rather than going to third-party sources or directly to Intel for drivers, and that using non-supported drivers may well void an owner's warranty.

Also note, the specific driver that was listed in the link provided in no longer valid as it has been removed or archived.

1)  You didn't read my post, obviously since you just spammed the same comment you have elsewhere.
2)  I never said I hated Intel, I think they offer a sub-par solution to graphics but I don't hate them.
3)  The driver you link too, is no longer available.
4)  While it may work, as posted by Moonsong, it can cause issues with warranty and may harm the machine due to overworking stressing components.
5)  To sink to your level, did you get paid to Spam Intel hype all over the boards??
6)  Intel Chipset is NOT on the list of supported Graphic Cards as given by Bioware and nothing you said changes that.
7)  I specifially stated that there was a driver change that would allow the OP to play but it may harm his system to do so, and told him to search the web for it.

How is any of this Hating on Intel or telling him to buy a new machine.  I have said that to others, that if they wish to play new games and have a supported card they would have to buy one.
