This is EA,  do you really think they wouldn't?   Look at how much DLC is out there right now.   You know how when DLC first came into the scene and everybody was worried that it would get out of control in the future only to be met with claims of slippery slope fallacy.  Well with ME3 we have officially hit the slippery slope into absurdity.

And so what if it is absurd? Donl't like the items? Don't buy them.

Pfffffffft. Who wants a "perfect" ending?

There can be only one "perfect" ending. While there are countless "less than perfect" endings. Would you rather know the one and forget all the other?

There really just needs to be a screen before you can post a topic in this section that says "NO, NONE OF THAT SUPERFLUOUS **** IS NEEDED TO GET THE BEST ENDINGS - NOW STOP MAKING TOPICS."

Because, seriously - every ten minutes, I swear.

So it had better be optional, Bioware. You know what kind of power I possess. You don't want me as an enemy.

Agreed. If this stuff all becomes necessary for a full game in the future, I'd rather sail the proverbial high seas with those nice men and women from Sweden.

They have said that if you do a lot of the side missions you can get the best ending.

So while some people can use these cute lil iOS apps to boost up their Mass Effect 3 story and get the best ending, I have to do countless amounts of side missions. While I do plan on completing every side mission you must admit...  thats bulls****.

They obviously designed the game around this "Galaxy at War" system and made it work for this app and multiplayer, THEN they made it "possible" for us players who won't use "Galaxy at War" to still get the best ending.... it's much more complex, difficult and time consuming though which IMHO is wrong. The way the game plays out should be based around you know... the game. And not these ****ing iOS apps and multiplayer.

Now with that I am still very excited for Mass Effect 3. But I swear to you now if stuff like this EVER becomes maditory I will quit no matter what game series its for... That will be the end for me.

If multiplayer, which is a significantly larger experience than an iOS app, isn't required for the best ending, the chances of the iOS app being necessary for the best ending is highly unlikely.

That said, how many exclusive DLC is being offered exactly? Two or three different pre-order bonus, Collector Edition DLC, comic book DLC, action figure DLC, and now iOS DLC? The reason I don't like this is because you don't know what you're getting until you've already played the game. For example, how do I know who to pre-order from if I don't know what weapons I'd prefer?

That's why I hope most of the stuff eventually becomes DLC for everyone (except for maybe CE stuff).

I'm starting to think I shouldn't do any of these or the multiplayer. I don't want a perfect ending and I want the ending to reflect the choices I made in the actual games, not how many promos I;ve bought into.

1. Facebook sucks because it sells YOU as a product to advertisers, all the while trivializing things like friendship and face-to-face communication.  Privacy is dead, and in a bizarre twist, so is intimacy.

2. Some of us are legit out on our own and have to watch our spending.  We can't afford the newest gadgets and whatnot.  In addition, some of us live in rural areas, where internet is sketchy.

3. When I drop $60 bucks or more on a videogame, that's a huge investment for me (RE: college student).  Thus, I expect to get the COMPLETE package and not be nickled and dimed to get the "best experience."

4. Get out of your mom's basement.

Well actually, I live on the upper floor. I do live with my mother but that is because I am only 17. Another point would be that you can't "hear" anything but can simply read and interpret it the way you see fit. Also, I have a part time job as a technology salesman in a retail establishment so I therefore make my own money. It is not that my mother "doesn't give me enought of an allowance for a mobile plan" but that I do not like Apple thus do not have an iPhone or iPod. So for people like me, things like this can really get: annoying, frustrating, etc. Comments like yours just make you look and sound like an imbecile and the way you interpret people who are complaining, like me, it frankly insulting. We have much right, and reason, to complain. Thank you.

I swear you produce more lulz per post than anyone else on the BSN Cheez. :D

I agree with your assesment of all the social and moble integration applicaitons EA is throwing at us.  I just want to play the game and see what endings my actions IN THE GAME produce.  I don't care what anyone on my friendslist is doing, I don't want to use an iPad spreadsheet to "enhance" my gameplay expereince, and if I wanted to play a ME game on my iPhone I would want it to be a stand alone game that has its own plot and gameplay mechanics.

You missed the point.

Games are made to fit consoles/PCs.  People who buy games already have one of those.

Needing to get an iWhatever to get the best results in a console/PC game is like saying you need to buy a new washing machine to watch the end scene on a DVD.

Yeah, but you're complaining that, while you can get a "perfect" ending with the game alone, you can't participate in the alternative... railing against an alternative.  I get you're pissed you can't play it (because it's damn silly to be pissed that you HAVE to), but it sounds like "well if i can't do it, i don't want anyone else to be able to."

Once again, with feeling, it's not a requirement.  At all.

I see it both ways. In a way, I kind of like the fact that I have to work for it. I can not only take more credit for my ending, it adds more gametime to my playthrough. I still, however, find it "cheap" to have something like this. It's almost like a "cheat" for people who have iPhones/iPods/iPads, a short cut that would almost ruin the game for me. If I had an Apple device... I'm not even sure if I'd even then use the "Galaxy at War" system. I just find it straight and simple, stupid.

At least you don't need Mew to beat the Elite Four.  (Just to complete your Pokédex grumble grumble grumble...)

Blizzard went a little nutty with the new Battle.Net to the point where playing SC2: WoL offline is impossible.
