It's not.  One of the devs said it isn't.  I'd take the SP/MP achievements as proof of this.

Then someone had better correct all the false press.

Is there any other sort of press?

Yes. Someone presented some quote earlier today, supposedly from a developer, that said the Galaxy Readiness meter will peak at 50% for the singleplayer game. The only to evolve it further, by then, would be through the multiplayer and outside resources. This same quote also suggested that the Galaxy Readiness would deteriorate over time, such as 1% per day.

EDIT: XD. My bad, I see what you did there. Must have lost my sense of humor for a moment.

Um, what false press? All that's been said is that the game gives you a Galactic Readiness boost, which will help you achieve the best ending.  We already knew that GR did that.

Chaotic evil? You seem more like a lawful neutral.

The minute all this twitter-age BS actually becomes necessary to get the best ending is the minute I quit EA forever and turn into a bitter old troll like Saphra.  This kind of crap already ruined Blizzard and Nintendo for me.

So it had better be optional, Bioware. You know what kind of power I possess. You don't want me as an enemy.

Sounds like bull**** to me. I wouldn't buy a game with something like that.

I'd highly recommend it. The amount of complexity that is going into this Galaxy at War system is already at a ridiculous level.

A lot of whiners still posting. Deal with it. EA and BioWare are joined. Here to stay. Don't like social networks because they force advertising on you... Wait what is bsn again?
you people are sad in a way. I for one will not play the Facebook game or the mobile app. Why? Because I don't enjoy them. But others do. You individuals are so enraging. You all think you're so smart and dignified because you are not like the "masses"
Well mass effect is not just for you. DEAL WITH IT

Apparently, the max GR you can get in SP alone is 50%, and it deteriorates at 1% a day.  This seems to go against what devs have said.

If it's true, not cool.  Unless there are double the necessary points available from doing sidequests and whatnot.  Otherwise, they're just punishing people who are not interested in the unfortunate by-products of the twitter age.

Count me in on that.

I'm gonna say that this Galaxy at War system is getting too much unnecessarily complicated, confusing and might backfire. Just sayin'.

That sounds like the fake Hepler post about forcing homosexuality on players. Trolling.

I think you might have missed the point of several of these posts. Several of us are whining because of the existence of these programs, sure. However, others are whining because there are contradictory statements about how all of this is supposed to work. BioWare has stated that you can get the perfect ending by playing only the single-player aspect of the game. A handful of gaming journalists have claimed that these things may be the ONLY way of getting the perfect ending.

I have no problem with BioWare starting up some content that will appeal to only a handful of users, even if that content is outside of the game. What I do have a problem with is paying $60 for a game and then discovering that I might have to do a bunch of tasks outside of the game to get the "perfect ending" in a game I've already paid for. I don't like gaming on Facebook or mobile platforms. Why should I be forced to play them to get an ending in the game that they aren't even included in? Isn't it as equally valid that people who don't enjoy doing everything in the main game to unlock said ending should be forced to?
