I was talking about how the various apps and whatnot will work, not how the game makes use of the GR rating. At root, all they are there for is to give you some extra points.
Honestly, I wasn't as much replying to you as I was showing another suggestion I saw today that painted a far more positive outlook on what I said earlier. Assuming the single-player had a constant value, or even a peak value of 50%, all that the Galaxy Readiness would mean in the game is that you need less strength to achieve the same result. Theoretically, that would mean that the only difference between the single-player and the multiplayer is that the single-player will have to spend more time acquiring units while the multiplayer will spend more time just boosting their GR.

You'll also require:
1.) 10 boxtops from Kellogs cereal to be mailed in for a code
2.) Three vials of virgin blood
3.) Go through "The joining"
4.) 125 Unique bottle caps from different brands of beer

Dear lord. Look, EA, here's what you do with a successful IP:
1. Find out the IP's strengths and refine them. Make them the IP's selling point.
2. Remember what each game did wrong and fix it for the next one.
3. Keep the IP unique in order to create your own niche, since trying to stake a claim in someone else's is nigh impossible.

oh god not this again.

and plus mass effect isnt even released yearly so please quit with that

Hey, hey we'll have none of your blasphemous talk around here. We all know the best way to make games is:
1.) Stick to tried and true business models despite how hilariously outdated they are
2.) Aim for the 14-16 year old kid demographics, and try not to anger their moms enough to make them pay attention to what they are playing.
3.) More dakka
4.) Find out what people like about a game, remove it, and put something else in. They were obviously lying.
5.) Tell the angry consumers how happy you are they liked the new surprises, while casually implying they might want some therapy if they can only express their love through threats of violence and mouthfoam.

Mutliplayer, apps, and some other stuff that ever gets announced is NOT needed to get the best ending. They are alternatives in case you don't want to do side quests and stuff for a long time to get it.
Or, you know, they could not do this uneccesary **** and that would make it so you didn't have to grind in the SP. Multiplayer not affecting SP my brown ring bioware.

I think this series is similar to halo, great series trilogy but in the end bad game after bad game, then it was taken out of bungie's hands and given to a new developer. To continue to milk the product.
Me2 was a good game but lacked many rpg elements and was just one big recruitment mission with story revelations only learned in the finale.
DA2 was simply terrible
I don't like the path Bioware is heading down but they do not have a choice.
Mass effect 3 is also has 'action mode' takes out the dialgue choices to appeal to COD and Halo Fanbase, i believe that fanbase is strong enough and will give EA enough money so that the RPG will be phased out of the series as it progresses

my only concern for mp is how fast will it become boring? i loved gow 3 hoarde mode but after awile it does get kinda stale.
im not saying omg i want team death match or anything like that but i wouldnt mind some pvp just for replay value regarding just the mp

This isn't the series.
Its a cheap arse diversion on mobile platform.
iOS or Android or WIndows Don't have games - they have a ten minute point of interest you can play on a bus ride.
If they built this style of game for PC and Consoles I might agree with you - but its for its for the flock to play on their phones while waiting for something interesting to happen.

I'm just glad we'll finally have a Bio game where it's actually hard to get the optimal ending.

You don't have to grind in the single player....
This is for people who don't want to do the non-grindy side stories and things in the game - or want to play something Mass Effecty quick and fun.
I'd say its even for people who play games on the App Store - in the hope they'll play this - and go "Oooh - this adds something to something called Mass Effect 3 eh? Maybe I'll have a look at what that is..."
