Question.

Why would it bad to release FemShep trailer after ME3 Demo?

Because why release a trailer to something that's already playable?

Yep,  if were going to play her in the demo and actually experience it ourselves then seeing a trailer based on game footage after the demo becomes a bit irrelevant.  Yeah we may see some new footage, but a lot of its potential will have been lost.

If they were going to do it after it would have to be really awesome.  Like CGI launch trailer awesome.   B)

Well how about saving the resources and just give the demo instead? Everyone wins and no need for trailer!

You are travelling into dangerous territory, human.

Honestly, I think it's odd that they would change the gender of the kid to fit Shep.  I mean, a kid being killed is sad no matter the gender.  It just seems more work than necessary for two brief moments that have no greater context than a child's death :?.

Then again, BioWare may feel that it would be more relevent to the player if it matched their Shepard's gender and that's all.

Just have to wait for the game to come out to see

Anyways, we'll be seeing FemShep within a handful of days, so all we'll have left to look forward to is the demo and launch trailer before the game's release.  We're almost there:O

Thing is I don't see why the kid is a hallucination. It would be much more dramatic if the kid was real. The point of adding something like this is to create drama.

Obviously, if the kid was a hallucination, then it is more than likely that that would entail more "interesting" happenings in later parts of the story. Think Isaac in Dead Space 2 (although probably not quite as brutal).

Bioware were probably planning another trailer anyway before the launch one.  They also clearly want a trailer to help promote the Demo.  No harm in including femshep if thats the case. Especially since they gone to all the effort of now marketing her.

The demo and game has always been top priority.  I mean Bioware said that we would get a femshep trailer "soon" for 8 months.  If they thought it was a high priority it would have been launched long ago.

Still its awesome that we finally get it!!  B)   Im far more interested in seeing it then playing the demo actually!!  Its been a long wait, long before there were any demo plans so keen to see it now.

Or maybe Shepard is the child and the whole Reaper are invading is made up in his mind.

Then the presence of Reaper are confirmed post credits. We get to play as the grown up Shepard in ME4 and EA will release the same three games in an attempt to rip us off, which they will succeed in doing so.

To be fair, I've always been bigger fan of the demo's than trailers. I want to see how the game plays and such.

But people are different. Can I ask why it is more important than demo? :)
Is it for equality? Or for awesome factor female Shepard brings for you?

Part equality. I'm sick and tired of sheploo, and although I might dislike the current design for femshep she would be better than seeing sheploo for the hundredth time in marketing.

Anyway the opening child could actually be Shepard as a little girl dreaming about commanding a starship?

And they look up from playing with their "Normandy" at the end of ME3 as their loving mother calls them in for dinner. Image IPB

Righto, I can relate to that. I never particulary liked Sheploo's face either. But I didn't find it annoying either.

The fact is that I'll always make a custom face for Shepard and I don't care what the trailer guy/girl looks like. ^_^

Unless they use it as the official trailer to market the game and it airs on TV, this means nothing. They are making a femshep trailer to placate you, but until it is part of the official marketing of the game, it means nothing.

I really hate Buioware's soons and sooners. They have always been meaningless and definitely mean something else than what I expect them to be according to the dictionary. ANTAKAA JO SE HELVETIN PÄIVÄMÄÄRÄ, SAATANA! RÄYH!

I wouldnt say equality.  Certainly recognition with that added awesome factor she has that makes her the best lead character I've seen in a video game.  Bioware have created one the greatest female protagonists of all time coupled with a exceptionally talented voice actress that has to many excells her above her male counterpart.  She makes a refreshing change to the genre and the standard stoic action hero you see all over the place.   Its great to see Bioware finally saw her potential and decided to show her on a larger scale.   Seeing a demo is that "wow" factor which finally seals a promise they made and shows that potential and recognition to a larger base.  Why keep secret something amazing?!

Plus I know many people agree.  A large dedicated website femshep.com  and one the largest fan threads on the BSN (with over 42,000 replies) show that many love the flare and spark she brings.   It may just be another trailer to some fans, but to others it something with a deeper meaning.

So yeah really looking forward to it    B)

Also its so awesome Bioware take the time to listen to the fanbase.  Its really gratifying especially when their marketing strategy seemed set in stone for such a long time!    So yeah thanks again Bioware (I think this is the one hundredth time I said this!)  ^_^

Can't wait for this trailer to drop!

...unless it ends up being something like this trailer.

I think I'd laugh...then weep.
