Looking for alittle endgame advice. I have completed orgins and awakeings once with a male human DW warrior and am thinking of trying a mage this time around. My questions is does playing a female mage have a less full filling end in regards to morrigan for carrying over to witch hunt etc.
I usually never play female characters in games however for some reason as a mage in this game I see a woman. Thanks for any replies, no spoilers please.
male or female mage?

You won't be able to romance Morrigan as a woman, unless you're on a PC and install some mods. If that's important to you, go with the male mage.

Thanks for the quick reply. Its been along time since I completed this game the first time. Right after I posted this I remembered the possible endings.

Kinda hard to answer your question without spoilers, but the obvious question is 'Less fulfilling than what?'
A female cannot romance Morrigan. Other than that, all the Morrigan-relevant plot content is available for female characters too, right up until the final confrontation in Witch Hunt, where male characters are given an extra option - and only then if they romanced her.
Hope that's cryptic enough.
