Yeah I'm really not happy about another new character for ME3. I really wish Bioware would give us some of the ME2 squadies as permanent team members, ones I'm talking about, Thane, Samara, Jack, Kelly Chambers, Gabby & Ken, and Jacob T. (considering I think Jacob T. would be happy to leave Cerberus and join Sheps team) and I'd even be happy to have Zaeed and Kasumi.

It's not the fact we are getting another new character that irks me but the fact it's another new human dude, the ME3 Normandy is already too much of a sausage fest crew.

Mordin, Wrex, and Legion, don't bother me not being part of the team as I think they are best suited as allies/part time squadies as they'll help the certain parts of the plot and story.

Also Miranda is so far in Cerberus and completely loyal to "the Cause' and Illusive Man, that for her to not go back to Cerberus would be a complete character betrayal.

To say I'm not happy about this dude and in fact feel let down is an understatement.

you mean the same Miranda Lawson that tends TIm her resignation if you take her with you to human reaper?  she's not as loyal to the Cerberus as you think she is.  she's loyal to the cause of preservation and enhancement of humanity, but she's not nearly as ruthless as TIM is.  and as you progress through the game, she's more and more bothered by what she discoveres about Cerberus.

but I digress.

could this guy end up being male version of Diana Allers?

He seems quite... hands on from what the articles have said and these in-game shots. I don't think he'll be as passive as a reporter like Diana might be.

I mean.. as a side character that will show up regularly in ME3, will have some conversations with Shepard and be a possible one night stand, which is what Aller's romance amounts to really - Bioware calls it "light romance"?

Ah, I get your meaning. Sounds like it could be a possibility :wizard:

I'm not even sure that's true. Miranda loved Cerberus for their dedication to their goals, but I don't think she necessarily shared the same goal.

She admired Cerberus, but wasn't really a "true believer" in the cause. Though she herself probably didn't realize it until the end.

Oh did I miss that in his discription?
In Regauds to jeweledleah's response/reply about Miranda, yes I know that Miranda can give the Illisive Man  her resignation, but as they say Talk is Cheap, and I don't think Miranda would really leave Cerberus over something like that. If a better opertunity came her way or if there was a way for Miranda Lawson to take control of Cerberus I'd see her doing that.

As far as I can tell the only things Miranda really seems to be motavated by are Hate for he Father, Some Daddy Issues, um Destroying her Dad's Empire, Not letting her Dad make a Dynasty, Keeping her Sister safe from her Dad, and serving Cerberus.

Miranda Seemed to haved no problem turning a blind eye on Cerberus' tests and experaments invoving Thrasher Maws, Thorians, Rachni and Humans

I don't think she'd really leave the Illisive Man and Ceberus over the Collector base, unless she felt she she'd be able to avoid the Illisive Man's reveange and he Sister would be safe. (another thing Deitz never did worth a damn how much did Cerberus loose? and would the Illisive Man seek Vengence againts Shepard and other wayword Cerberus operatives?) .

And at the end of the day Cerberus knows where her sister is, and  and Miranda's Dad had been a major backer. for Cerberus. IfMiranda went rogue her odds don't look to good.
Miranda's discrption of her father is"He was a Big Backer for Cerberus, and is still extremely influential, wealthy, and ego-maniacal"
Um does that sound like anyone else?

Sorry to get off topic, but I still don't give 2 poops about this dude.

You just don't have the stomach to do what needs to be done and neither does Randall it seems.

Cerberus is better off without him.

Oh right, the old and completely unnecessary "whatever it takes" approach to make them look more than a gang of sadistic freaks.

It's funny when they're using that tired excuse to cover for experiments that have absolutely nothing to do with the Reapers. And no, I can't care less if they were meant for the other alien races, because unless the Reapers are stopped, it'll be worth jack s**t. Consistent priorities, what's that?

The whole galaxy is better off without Cerberus and better with an organization that actually have the nuts to admit their mistakes and a more narrowed down objective.

Cerberus doesn't revolve solely around the Reapers.

I'd get this if the last lead in a ME app weren't a colossal disappointment as a character in the game.

Wouldn't be surprised at this point if he discovers alien gas chambers.

My money's on husk/avatar creating experiments, probably presented in some obviously Mengelesque fashion. You know, just for shock value's sake. The final boss probably is the local Cerberus-hauptsturmführer, or his (one-off) ultimate creation. Maybe both, as he injects himself with Reaper tech in a defiant last stand against the main character.

Which brings to question what the guy thought Cerberus would do with the aliens he collected for them. Just take some blood and urine samples, then set them free afterwards? Put them in a zoo?

Perhaps they convinced them they were alien terrorists?

I find Randall an interesting choice for a name. Doesn't exactly shout "warrior" to me.

Randall seems to be a solidary soldier... seeing his a biotic, mixed with an infiltrator mixed with a Soldier... His basically all three classes in one XD

Look, it's kinda hard not to see why someone would break away from Cerberus... since apparently the cells have no idea what the others are doing unless your in the main command chain.

I'd leave too if i learned why they did to guys like Tombs or Kahoku

Which means that the start of this game could actually be a prequel to ME2. Which would be quite interesting since it would have to be before Project Lazarus.

I'm willing to bet anything that he'll be a DLC character.

Still hoping that we eventually get a batarian too though.
