So did they ever finish the farscape series? I only got into it years after it stopped airing, I was halfway through season 4 before I was told about how they reduced season 5 to a couple of feature length movies. So I stopped watching season 4 just a few episodes before the end. John and friends were on earth and as happy and carefree as they'd ever been, so I'm hesitant to keep on watching because I'm concerned that I won't like how it all ends.

Yeah, the rest of 4 was the shows usual excellence, and the Peacekeeper Wars miniseries tied up most of the loose ends. It desered better, ie; never getting canceled in the first place, but it was a far better and more satisfying conclusion than alot of shows get, and well worth watching.

Something between an Avatar and a Concept.

The personality is fairly close to mine, but it's always adjusted to fit the game world.

IIRC, the Save the Council option flags you as having done as such for ME2, but the latter two both equate to "Abandon the Council" as far as Mass Effect 2 (and 3 by extension) is concerned. Likewise, its exemption in Genesis was a pretty good indicator that it was disregarded.

But the intent expressed by shepard when making the decision was not one of malice.

Others in the game may perceive it as such but that's something that's simply out of both Shepard's and the player's control.

True. The inability to defend oneself against such accusations of racism (essentially, accepting the perception of a human-centric racist) is what really annoys me. I can understand the perceptions. I just cannot understand the unwillingness of Shepard to defend himself against those perceptions (although I can understand the programming/voice acting/writing need to focus on two options rather than three with a decision of that scope). I'm just saddened that our ME3 Shepards who chose "Concentrate" will not be able to bring that up with the various species when they bring up that particular event, since it was not flagged in the data.

Don't know if this is clarified in later pages but it is flagged in the data. If you chose the concentrate option, there is simply a replacement council with the addition of a human councilor in ME2. If you chose the "let the council die" option in ME2 there is an all human council and the spectres are dispanded.

Just a character. Why would I want to be myself? I get to do that enough in real life!

You don't get to play yourself in the shoes of an undead Spectre, however. ;)

Well I'm not sure everyone can be shoved into one of three categories. By first and main Shepard is an avatar and all of my subsequent Shepards are concepts. As for my main Shepard... yeah, I would consider her an extension of myself.

Though my my shep may look like a paragon-only guy, I do make my own choices instead of ignoring all the options and going with top right selection throughout the game. Its more fun to actually think about both choices.

My main playthrough is always an avatar, but I play concept for my other playthroughs.

I mainly do the the "concept"..yet I can be flexible and tweak the concept midgame (especially in an elder scrolls game where I take 10/20 hours to figure out the concept).
However, my own morality does effect the concept and decisions - so the first playthrough will tend to be an "idealised" version ...and I could never bring myself to kill the Rachni queen with any Shepard

Sort of both. At least when I'm ManShep.

I use four basic models to establish a character: 1.) Badass with a heart of gold, 2.) Anything to get the job done, 3.) Space-douche, 4.) White knight

My main Shepard (first one imported into ME3) will be an avatar, and the rest will be concepts.

At one point, I tried to make Shepard an avatar, but I don't often get options at major decision points that I would actually make. Prime example: the Rachni queen. I don't see why her fate needed to be decided that moment. The only option was kill or save, but what about calling the council and saying "Hey, found a Rachni queen, what do you want me to do with her?"
