For reasons unknown, TIM has betrayed the good guys and sided with the Reapers. Do you believe this is due to indoctrination or outside influence or both? Should we be able to turn him back to the good guys?

I believe there should be some way to turn him, and giving him the Collector Base in ME2 should have some sort of beneficent affect, as well as destroying it.

While I'm really, really looking forward to letting TIM know how I really feel about him through the miracle of biotics, I truly hope that Renegades who sided with Cerberus in 2 get to claim the organization in 3. I'm pretty sure that TIM's a goner, but Cerberus as a whole should be salvageable for the Shepards who've invested in it. As a Paragon player, I didn't like being shoehorned into it in 2, and I think Renegades shouldn't be forced into destroying them in 3.

Bioware's just decided to give him the idiot ball ala Orsino & Meredith from DA2.

TIM and Cerberus have always been willing to push the "stupid" envelope in order to get what they want.

I don't think it's not in the character's nature to do what he does in ME3. We're just seeing the ugly-ugly side of him now; the extent of his mad ambition.

BW has great difficulty in creating plots that don't resort to the comic book logic of "If the supervillain doesn't break out of prison then there wouldn't be a story".

I doubt Cerberus can be saved. But individuals within the organization may be able to be redeemed by Shepard.

I would hope so. But I doubt it. Bioware sure loves their Snidley Whiplashes.

Most probable guess.

I don't much care for The Illusive Man. But I don't think he is entirely Snidely Whiplash evil. I think he played with fire, overestimated his and Cerberus's ability to handle Reaper tech, and got seriously burned. Now, they are Harbinger's b**ches.

But that's just my opinion.

But put somebody like Miranda, Jacob, or this new guy (if he turns out to be the leader type) Randall Ezno in charge of Cerberus, they can actually do a lot of good behind the scenes.

Not the case for Meredith. She was somewhat insane due to past trauma and her sword made her worse. I believe TIM is closer to her than Orsino.

Also, no.

I swear, no matter how many times you remind them they insist on coming back...

It's not my fault you're a broken record that does nothing but say the same thing over and over. In German this time, apparently.

Ambitious experiments that hope to control the uncontrollable tend to do that.

I personally don't think Cerberus can or should be saved the whole organization needs to be brought down and destroyed. I mean look at what they've done torturing children to make stronger biotics, the experiments on David in Overlord or what they did to Gillian just to name a few off the top of my head.

Wouldn't this joke work better if it was Bioware moderators banning people for complaining about them? As it is, you're just a minority opinion in debates.

We need Cerberus to be evil in ME3 so that we have humanoid enemies to kill.

Usually junkmail users like someone with mass (wtf is this name?) would spew crap in these threads, just to fuel his own ego.

Strange that he hasn't...

Because I'm sick of hearing your redundant arguments that have been played out repeatedly for 3 months realizing you have nothing else to contribute to the forum?

What justification do you have? 3 months is plenty of time to move on from a blasted videogame series.

Truth be told, I'm not sure why. We've won in the game itself already.

So should they. A sad soul filled with endless anger and regret writes excellent songs on the violin, I hear.

I have not heard any spoilers or read any spoilers from the leaked script. The below is speculation not spoilers.

Good guys. Bad guys. A little bit simplistic. First of all I'm sure Cerberus has ligitimate reasons for what they do in Mass Effect 3. Perhaps they haven't at all sided with the Reapers and are using the war to their advantage. Get hold of Reaper technology destroy the Reapers and ceize control of the enemy. Along the way it all went wrong and they became indoctrinated. They didn't side with the reapers. They simply got hypnotised by reaper technolgy. The Illusive Man is still out to find a way to better understand indoctrination. Possibility of improving humanity's dominance of the galaxy. Very Cerberus. Cerberus' dubious activities is what ultimately enables Shepard and company to develop a weapon against the Reapers. Thus very narrow victory and possibility of new Cerberus indoctrination techniques to be used on the masses.

Cerberus saves itself. The end.
