The only thing I dislike about it is the "inception sound".

His Dawn of War trailer is more Mass Effecty. Synth and the like. It has a minor spoiler.

So if a guy uses a set of paperclips to create a masterpiece vs. a team of artists who use a much more wide variety of tools to create a masterpiece, which is more impressive? I think the question is, if this guy were working for Bioware what could he do? He only has a few clips and dialogue options to use and probably a less impressive computer system, and he still created a compelling narrative of what ME3 is all about while getting you excited about the game.

Yeah, it's fantastic what Blur does with trailers, look what they have to work with. However, this stuff is just as impressive to me.

I was expecting another dumb fan trailer, but hell.. it was much better. Actually, it was so good that I'm interested in ME3 again.

To be fair people in the industry get extreme deadlines to make trailers, which is why a fan like in this case often probably has a better chance to do what he wants with the material. He certainly captures the right feel much better than Biowares trailers which way too often get electric guitars slapped on for forced, cliche action mode.

Indeed. But the latest one is the best, IMHO.

i like how the opening of the trailer set this tone of dread that's been lacking in the game since taking out sovereign from mass1. the rest of the video showed a sense of struggle and loss that ties really well to what we can expect from the last game.

I felt like it needed a wookiee somewhere, or some Chewbacca sound in there. It's pretty much the greatest battle cry of all time.

Really? I don't think it was the same sound...but either way, it was very well used here. Not to mention that it was used sparingly, too.

Here is a another fan trailer that recently came out. They use the audio from the Prometheus movie teaser and frankly it looks pretty freaking awesome!

I think the trailer work is really good. Most fan-made media (fan-fiction) is generally terrible, so its nice to see that someone has at least made the effort to present quality material.

Unrelated, I feel like I've seen this thread 3 months before. Deja Vu.

I've just gotta ask: Where does someone who wants to create a fan made trailer get new visual material or cutscenes that we haven't seen from a game that hasn't been released yet?
