Voice Chat, Multiplayer, Trolling and Bullying

However I have heard many stories about bullying, trolling and non stop swearing and whining about some players being either playing too well or too poorly.
How will Bioware deal with this?
What lessons can be learnt from Call of Duty, Halo Gears of War, Killzone, Army of Two, Battlefield and other online shooters in terms of tackling online bullying?
Will Mass Effect 3 have it's own moderation system in addition to those implemented by XBox Live, PSN and the PC?
Will Bioware and EA along with other organisations be working together on this issue?
What can gamers like us do to reduce trolling on voice chat?

I have little experience with online gaming. Especially when voice chat is involved.

Mute. It's what I do in Crysis and Reach, just quickmute the annoying ones. There really isn't much else you can do.

I imagine that co-op in ME3 will be quite a bit more pleasant than the latest MP death match game.

Unfortunately you can count on there still being plenty of arrogant jerks playing. It's one of the most common and least respectable aspects of online gaming.

Deal with it, or mute.
I don't have voice chat yet. If I can find people who can use it responsibly I might purchasse it. I would want it for communication with other players. I found on the Wii however I couldn't hear other players at all. So they could have been cussing and swearing for all I knew. It sounded like white noise to me.

As a bonus, and I am being dead serious here, I'd vote for the kick to have the certain "extra" oomph:
Guy1: "F*** F*** F*** That stupid s*** of a m************ Vanguard is playing s***!!!!"
Guy2: "Sweet Jeebuz, calm down"
Guy3 - the Vanguard player: "Dude, it's not like this is competitive game or something like that, besides we are already as good as done here and there is nothing to interfere with that, just let me have some fun."
Guy1: "STFU and GTFO you s***** n00bzor!"
Host: "Man, not kosher" -> Kicks -> *Reaper Dreadnought falls from sky, Thanix'es Guy1 and lands right on top of his mushed remains* *with boomy Reaper voice* "Enjoy your kick, slimey!"
The kicking sequence should playout more or less pre-rendered and pause the actual gameplay for the duration.
For extra sh*ts and giggles, you are free to make it a rainbow-colored Reaper with a twirled horn on its bow.
My humble opinion on that issue.

As a follow-up punishment, during the next coop match the kicked guy plays, all his weapon/power sounds should be replaced with a varying voice pitched "I know you feel this!"

Better yet, screw that. I would totally troll coop matches for that experience

The game is supposed to be for 18+ gamers... Also it's co op, if someone is hating on you, then leave... Also you can report people on most systems.
Ha! Funny, he thinks reporting people actually does something.

Lol. How about when someone gets kicked, all the players automatically turn to said player and shoot his ass to bits.

I've never had any issues playing co-op in other games. Everybody was just there to have a good time. But the best way to ward off potential problems in a co-op is to play with a group of friends.

Not creative enough for my taste, ... but I tihnk I do evidently not cater to the "normal" taste anyhow ...

Also make friendships and play with people you know, that will solve most of your problems. There are several MP groups on the website and I invite you to join the one in my sig.

Other then that? Random idiot joins, hopefully host option allows for kicking or a vote kick. Failing that, Mute. 3 player co-op with 1 idiot isn't much different then 3 players. Though you do get the benefit of having an extra distraction to use in your favor. Just pretend its an NPC at that point and keep 'it' between you and the enemy.
I highly discourage the no-mic policy some people take. They're refusing to be a team player for the sake of not wanting to deal with other players. I don't see the reason in playing multiplayer if your not going to participate. It's like joining up with an MMO and spending the entire time soloing alone.
