yeah ME3's multiplayer is co-op. I'm playing witha bunch of my friends so I doubt there'll be any bullying there. It's not X shepard vs Y Shepard it's Characters teaming up to kill husks and Cerberus. You shouldn't have a problem with that. :)

Actually Co Op MP is far easier to troll than competitive MP. Ever play Left 4 Dead?

Most co-op games I have played usually has a good crowd. I do remember playing Left4Dead with this guy who kept running way ahead of us so that he could get the most kills and then constantly ranted when we couldn’t reach him to revive him in time. We kicked him pretty quick and blocked all communications and kept playing, having a great time.

You can’t let others ruin your gaming experience. You’re going to find jerks in every day life. Work, internet, subways, lines, etc. Most idiots won’t find enjoyment in being idiots if they don’t have an audience. It just isn’t fun for them. So I would recommend mute/block. If you play with a group that you seem to work well with, add them to your friends list so that you can play with them in the future. I have met a lot of jerks on CoD, GoW and L4D, but I have also met some really awesome people. You can’t stop people from being fools, but you can choose how you react to them. Don’t feed them, mute them, kick them and move on. Remain friendly, helpful and keep a good sportsmanship attitude and you’ll eventually attract like-minds.

Yeah most full on co-op has generally speaking, less issues. Sometimes you'll get into a game of guys who only play with eachother who end up being complete dicks and kick you out or **** till you leave. But that kinda thing plays its self out in the first 30 seconds and your onto find another game with less idiot and more awesome.

Other then that? Random idiot joins, hopefully host option allows for kicking or a vote kick. Failing that, Mute. 3 player co-op with 1 idiot isn't much different then 3 players. Though you do get the benefit of having an extra distraction to use in your favor. Just pretend its an NPC at that point and keep 'it' between you and the enemy.

I highly discourage the no-mic policy some people take. They're refusing to be a team player for the sake of not wanting to deal with other players. I don't see the reason in playing multiplayer if your not going to participate. It's like joining up with an MMO and spending the entire time soloing alone
.

You don't need to chat to work as a team.  If you're playing properly, you won't need to communicate at all becaus the rest of the team will see something and then go about to correct it.

In all my years of multiplayer gaming, I've never used my headset to coordinate and I've done just fine.

Yes I have. I think that goes for everyone that has ever played an online game.

I know its not required to play, but it's not as effective or as fun. If that's your thing, thats fine, i don't mind a micless or 2 in the room but least on 360 having the voices play through the TV is hard to hear. It comes out at about 30% actual volume and can't be heard above much of the game.

On top of that if your not muting the poeple and you 'do' get into an incredibly loud room with lots of bad language that's not streaming out of your TV so... still gadda mute. I have a friend on my list who's literally a mute, she can't speak and she still keeps a mic so she can hear us talk. IF a lot of craps coming up behind a team mate and they can't hear me tell them to turn around or somethings coming up behind them it's there fault.

Either way that's me, if someone with a mic joins I'm not going to whine about it. If I'm in a completely mic-less room I'll just leave. Might as well be playing alone at that point.

Are there really people who want to ruin their last bit of immersion with voicechat...? You can easily play it without, and boy do I recommend it.

For the most part, you don't get all this in Co-op MP. You run into the random jerk who'll PK your whole team (but ME3 has no friendly fire, problem solved) or someone wants be the Lone Wolf and run ahead to kill everything and immediately scream for a rez. Actually, I see this happening with Vanguards, but it won't be a big deal. Most of us aren't jerks. IMO.

I don’t think most people role play in multiplayer games. At least I don’t. I play multiplayer games for the camaraderie and group play atmosphere. Usually there isn’t a story to get into on MP. You just kill **** and try to stay alive.

Well, from my experience, the majority of the "You suck, go kill yourself!" type of comments tend to occur in PvP MP, which ME3 is not. Not to say they won't happen in the co-op, but it's less likely. Especially so on the Xbox, since there's the party chat. I don't know if PS3 has a feature like that or not.

As for stopping it, you can always mute them and report them for griefing and harassment.

I think the biggest hurdle to cross in Co-Op online is the lobby full of friends who troll everyone who isn't in their clique, but that's fairly rare, AFAIK.

That said, if anyone wants to play co-op when it comes out on the Xbox, send me a PM.

If your actually going to roleplay a ME Special Forces Squad - you wouldn't be able to with 'OUT' voice communication. You think they only employ mutes? Everyones had there voice box severed? Every mission there personal coms are just mystically broken?

I call BS on no mic = immersion =P

if someone is hating on you, kill them and then (if you're the 'host') kick them from the game and block them. I stopped using a headset when I played CoD because I couldn't stand the idiots that shouted obsceneties at me. Some even blasted music over the headsets which interfered with communications

I have no tolerance at all for jerks in mulitplayer. People don't understand that your voice and virtual presence is carrying over into my living room and personal private space. You need to be as polite are you would be if you were actually standing in my house, just as I need to be as ploite as if I was standing in your living room. If you don't have that sort of consideration, you are a child and are not worth my time. I don't want to play with children even accidentally. If I don't have a prearranged group of people who are not jerks, I will not be playing mulitplayer.

I usually just mute the buggers. In a 4-player co-op game, though, it shouldn't be hard to get a respectful group together.

Sorry just can't imagine talking to the "ZOMG! S/S THREAD LOVE GAY LOVE SEX LOVE FOREVOR" people. I've actually had the displeasure of talking to a few people from BSN on XBL. All they do is play ME and Dragon Age and sound like a bunch of 17 year old neck beards.
