Sorry just can't imagine talking to the "ZOMG! S/S THREAD LOVE GAY LOVE SEX LOVE FOREVOR" people. I've actually had the displeasure of talking to a few people from BSN on XBL. All they do is play ME and Dragon Age and sound like a bunch of 17 year old neck beards.
I actually have a couple of people from the BSN on my xbox and enjoy playing with them. They aren’t how you described at all. Did you talk to them any before adding them, or did you get their tag off a thread?

Are there really people who want to ruin their last bit of immersion with voicechat...? You can easily play it without, and boy do I recommend it.
I don’t think most people role play in multiplayer games. At least I don’t. I play multiplayer games for the camaraderie and group play atmosphere. Usually there isn’t a story to get into on MP. You just kill **** and try to stay alive.
I'm one of those ancient ones who actually do roleplay in multiplayer games, like in NWN(2). I roleplayed in AoC too, and in Rift, in DDO... pretty much every multiplayer game that has the potential for roleplay. Certainly would if I played SWTOR. I probably wouldn't try it in Call of Duty though, but that's not a RPG. You can still have a lot of fun in the action while staying IC. But voicechat would ruin my game completely. I'm too old for that I guess.

Hello.
Where's the problem with that? I already MET several ones, primarily, but not exclusively on Gamescom and they were exclusively nice people.

I had talked to the couple I added quite often on here and msn, which is probably why I had better experiences.

Well, that’s just how you play. Nothing wrong with that. Everyone has different play styles.

Reminds me of some people that play DAO and pretend there character said something different and just assume everyone in the worlds insane for reacting to something else. I just don't get that heh.
But looking forward to some good times with ME3 MP. Laughing with online-buddies and shooting bad-dudes in their faces is always enjoyable.

As a few others have mentioned mute is your friend. I personally have muted every single player in MW3 matches because there constant whinging and swearing was starting to ****** me off.
I'm glad mute is an ally. When the noise gets to much, switch it off.

I agree with this. they think just because they're playing an army game, and swearing is common in the army (actually some what of a misconception because some CO's have a zero-tolerance policy on foul language) they have to swear as well.

Do people actually think that? Damn. What a world we live in. Well I'll silence them with my mute butten.

But above all, if Gears of War 3 is any indication of this, you will have a LOT of quiet players with maybe one guy with a mic. If the people talking seem cool/competent, definitely stick by them and try to help them out. Don't feel intimidated when playing online, a lot of players want to just have fun, and you can always mute anyone who gets out of hand.
I hope you have a good online experience with ME3.

If it was VS style multiplayer then I would be worried.. But it's just Co-Op which is, in my opinion, aimed more at people who play for fun than overly aggressive and competitive gamers.

We play to win. If you're more interested in admiring your Quarian avatar's ass or quoting in-game phrases, you can enjoy staying dead on the ground.
Multiplayer is lame and unfortunately a necessity to ensure a full game experience (stop drinking BW's koolaid). I intend to get through it as quickly and painlessly as possible.
I hope there's a kick function, because I'd love booting out idiots just before the mission ends, leaving them with nothing but 15 mins of their time wasted.
