What this mod does:
Anti Aliasing:
Not noticeable in the screenshots because I force
Anti Aliasing and my resolution is 1920x1080, but if you don't force AA, and
you use a resolution below that, you should notice some difference, and will
have less jagged edges.
Sharpening:
Pretty subtle effect. I only used
Post-Sharpening, so it will bring out some of the finer details on textures,
without being overkill. It's not very noticable in the screenshots because of compression, but in-game, you'll see the difference.
Bloom:
Once again, it's only a light effect (lol pun intended),
but it's there.
Desaturation:
May not be to everyone's liking, but I personally
prefer it, as I found the default game to be a litte bit too saturated.
Altered color palette:
The change in blue is the one that stands out the
most. I also reduced the green in the image, and added some red to make
the change more noticeable without taking too much away.
Gamma and Exposure:
You'll notice that things are a lot darker.
I took the screenshots at the 0 brightness settings in the Mass Effect 2
settings, so if you feel like it's too dark; feel free to turn up the brightness
to make it more to your liking. I used negative exposure, which acts alongside
the added bloom. This means that the lighting with stay the same
brightness, while the rest of the image will get darker, which will put more
emphasis on light and shadows.
Installation:
Download the file, extract it's contents and copy the files in the "Injector" folder
Then you're going to put the files in the same folder that your MassEffect2.exe file is. This will be different depending on how you got your game. For example, I use Steam, and the folder mine was in was:
C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Mass Effect 2\\Binaries
While in game, use the "Pause" key on your keyboard to turn the injector on and off.
If you'd like to tweak any of the settings yourself, I included the latest version of the FXAA tool, which will allow to make changes as you see fit. I recommend not to do anything drastic, as doing so can give you some really wierd results in this game.
