I would like them on my side, We need all the help we can get.

Batarians? Help? Did you play Bring down the Sky? Balak says the Batarians are in the midst of an invasion on humans. You think after arrivals..situation, that they're actually going to be willing to help?

Millions of batarians are being killed by the Reapers, so in desperation some batarians may decide to help the humans in exchange for the survival of their race.

Because Batarians aren't known for being selfish stubborn bastards. They won't unite with humanity. They'd be the type to try and sell humanity out and form an alliance with the Reapers.

You've clearly missed the hostility the two races share.

I didn't left the hatred out. The batarian government got slaughter by the Reapers which they are the ones to blame for all of the terrorism, piracy, slaver attacks against human colonies. Because they loaded their people with propaganda which made their people do insane acts for their so called Batarian Rebellion. With their government mostly gone what remains of their military will focus their attentions towards the Reapers as the Reapers are actively killing batarians all over batarian space; the Reapers are likely using indoctrination to gain key information about their defenses; and millions of batarians have been huskified and killed. I would think reality would set in. Beside which is more a threat humans, who locked up Shepard for killing 300k batarians, or the Reapers that are killing millions of batarians and destroying many of their colonies?

Most people don't even see the Reapers as a threat, or believe they aren't real. Remember, everyone was told Saren and his Geth attacked the Citadel and that Sovereign (or Nazara) was merely Geth tech.

The Batarians will not sit by and let Shepard destroy an entire colony of them and not retaliate. As I said they're stubborn. Telling them sacrificing them to buy time for an impending attack was the best option will most likely not sit well with them. They're still going to want Shepards head. As Hackett says "They're just looking for a reason to go to war". What better reason than killing 400,000 of those slimy bastards?

I got to wonder about the shortsightedness of some people here again, judging an entire race because of some individuals you have met and throwing in genocide again and again as punishment. You judge entire nations of people like this in real life too? Because if you do, i really feel sorry for you...

I'm not sure there will be enough batarians left once the reapers descend upon Earth. Think about it. The reapers enter our galaxy though a batarian controlled system. Chances are they are going to destroy the majority of the batarian colonies and possibly their home-world by the time they enter the "Local Cluster."

If the reapers do destroy batarian controlled space, then the only batarians we would have on our side are the ones that are left in fighting condition are the ones that Aria will bring to our side when we help her retake Omega or are part of mercinary bands who hate us already.

Pretty much decided within 10 seconds of me first seeing a Batarian that I hated them...I think it is the whole multiple eye business.

Might have something to do with how just about all Batarians you meet are complete d*cks, with only the Batarian from Mordin's recruitment mission in ME2 showing actual gratitude after you save his life?

Also: I don't really care about the Batarians, if they're willing to forget their pathetic grudge against humanity for a bit and help out then they're welcome to help out and I'd ally with them. Though they shouldn't expect any sort of apology, either from humanity (for colonizing planets the Batarians wanted - leading to the Batarians closing their embassy and waging a sneaky and dirty war on Humanity) or Shepard personally (for the events from Arrival).

When you find Mordin's Assistant the Batarians also express gratitude when you let them go in exchange for the assistant's life. Hell they release him first and ask Shepard if they can leave. Further giving you to temptation to shoot them down.

Not to mention the Skyllian Blitz in 76, mostly Batarian Slavers.

What good would they be, they got four bloody eyes and they still can't shoot straight! Worthless scum

*waits until batarian space is invaded by reapers*

then swoop in and try to save as much as possible...which should be 3, 4 batarians.

3, or 4 more batarians that should survive at all.

Shepard won't. Since there're no batarians left after the Reapers got to their space.

the question is, when will people learn not to post topics that are bound to attract spoilers?

Um Bioware said the batarians were the first to be invade buddy. So it can be implied that the batarians are very much devastated by the Reapers as they were the first to be hit. It can also be implied that there hasn't been a war between the Alliance and the Batarian Hegemony yet as Shepard's trial is to appeal to the Batarian Hegemony for peace.

No Spoilers are longer allowed having read Bioware's notice.

The Reapers swept through Batarian space on the way to Earth as I understand it. I don't think that there are many of them left.

The end justifies the means. But at the end of the day Its us vs the Reapers. Pick a side Batarians lol.Not sure how many are left since the Reapers decided to say hi to them first.Despite that event, I dont think all Batarians hates us.The stereotype terroist is overblown.

As I'm sure someone has said, I would be surprised if any batarians are left to be recruited. Sure, a few individuals are going to be out there, but methinks the species will be more-or-less wiped out given that the Reapers enter the galaxy through their space.

Which will make the remaining ones more inclined to help in the fight against the reapers.

Gotta love the moralists on this forum, human civilization was built on slavery, for over 2000 years it was seen as the norm amongst "civilized" society.

My Shepard intends to finish what he started in Arrival.

Seriously who wants to be friends with the north Korea of space? Especially Mindor shep? I mean there is such a thing as putting the past behind you but it hasn't been 300 years yet so no I'd rather not even go to their side of space unless its to blow up more slaver farms thank you very much.
