in ME1 we had to choose who to save... Ashley or Kaidan
for some it was a tough decision but regardless it was one of the most memorable & powerful moments of ME1
i think it would have been equally if not more intense if halfway through ME2 a fight between Jack & Miranda broke out on the Normandy that resulted in one of them dying. if you as shepard had to "tip the scales" in either Jack or Miranda's direction resulting in one killing the other it would definitely have been a moment of intensity i'd never forget.
they kinda did it with Morinth & Samara (and hey, that was a pretty cool moment to be sure) but i think it would have been even more profound if we had to choose between Jack or Miranda dying
with the strong opinions of Jack & Miranda i've seen in the forums so far i'm sure this would have been a difficult thing for everyone to decide.
who would you have chosen?

My favorite Shep (I have way too many) would have put a bullet in them both. He has no tolerance for people like that who would jeopardize the mission over personal issues like Miranda and Jack had.

It would be ridiculous if you had to choose who to save over a trivial argument. Jack's unstable, but not THAT unstable. If it was an argument over a serious moral issue that could result in one person get killed over it (like with Shep and Wrex in ME1) that would be more understandable.

Half way through the mission you say.......That's something of a spanner in the works.....my automatic/emotive response is to side with Jack
But halfway through the mission? How crucial is each to the success of the mission? That's the question I'm now asking myself.....back at some stage to give my answer to that question and thus who I would save and why.

Ok thing is. Shepard at the moment had no weapons with him/her. Jack is a superior biotic. If a fight would brake out, Jack would smear the wall with Miranda, and that would basically be it. After that Shepard would just decide what to do with Jack. If Shepard attacked Jack empty handed, Jack would smear the wall with Shepard as well, and then the crew would decide what to do with Jack.
I am not a huge fan of Jack, this is just lore facts.

but yeah. if Jack can rip mechs apart with her biotics i'm pretty sure she could choke out Miranda Vadar style without much effort

First of all, Jack was the one harassing Miranda on her own office.
Second, what one cell did can not be used to vilify everyone in Cerberus. Especially considering that particular cell was acting outside of Cerberus' orders.

The time and place for dealing with those issues is not on the Normandy before heading to the Omega IV relay. If Jack allowed personal baggage to truly threaten the mission, she'd have to put down like a rabid dog.
Thankfully it didn't go that route.
