I want to kill people off, but i don't want less content in ME3.
I've hit a bit of a snag.
There are only a few characters that will have a significant impact on ME3. The rest have been reduced to small cameos.

Not for the sake of killing them because I 'dislike' their character or something. I have one playthrough with most of my team dead just to see how it impacts ME3.
I always make sure either Garrus or Tali is dead, since that will actually make a significant impact on ME3.

Indeed, you will miss out on content

It will make replays all the more fun to see what I missed the first time around.

Those two aren't a problem, but it's generally difficult to kill off a lot of your squad. In the savegame I speak of, Miranda is still alive, along with Zaeed and a couple more. I didn't go full genocide, but I did make sure to eff up major future conflicts like the Geth/quarian war and the Genophage mess.
But I have my crew alive and well to their fullest in my "primary" savegame. I'll import that first, and then see how much content gets swapped/cut with my aforementioned failthrough.

I can't wait to see how ME3 pans out without Legion or Tali, or Mordin and Wrex.
I don't have any save games with those factors - but I'm fascinated to see how it will pan out.

Yes. That gives you another reason to re-play all games again. I avoided ME games as I don't like Sci-fi. Then Bioware passed out free ME2 with DA 2 codes. Now I am planning buy ME 1 after finishing ME 3(Not before as I want to finish my current Shepdars stories). Then I can write different stories in game.
It doesn't bother me much if ME2 characters make big cameos or mentioned in mails just like ME->ME2. It is nice to see something you did on previous game provide something different in new game.

I'm sorry but I find this flawed logic simply because not having squadmates can allow people to see something different than what they would have, had the squadmate been there. Thus technically speaking by having a playthrough where you do kill someone off, your seeing more content than what the person who always saves everyone they can would.
Now onto the topic question, let's see now...
Motoko: Didn't recruit Wrex so he ain't there, didn't recruit Grunt, Samara or Tali in ME2 so they most likely won't be there, only casualty in the Suicide Mission was Legion due to a certain Quarian not being there for upgraded shields.
Jethro: Mordin only casualty from SM, Wrex alive
Elena: Thane, Tali, Zaeed and Kasumi all dead, Samara loyalty mission not done so Morinth maybe alive too
Oman: Wrex and Mordin dead, Kasumi and Zaeed not recruited
Jacqueline: Jacob, Mordin, Garrus, Grunt, Thane, Samara (morinth took her place), Legion and Zaeed all dead
Richard: No one dead apart from Morinth on Samara Loyalty Mission
Jane: Wrex, Garrus, Jack and Tali dead
Soloman: Wrex, Jacob, Samara and Morinth all dead, Legion sent to Cerberus
Eiko: Mordin, Garrus, Grunt, Thane, Samara, Morinth all dead, Tali not recruited
Jack (avatar): Wrex, Jack and Morinth only casualties
Dani: Wrex, Miranda, Jacob, Mordin, Garrus, Jack, Grunt, Thane, Samara, Tali all dead, Legion not activated or sent to Cerberus, Morinth still alive as never found Shep interesting to talk to, Zaeed and Kasumi both alive but both not loyal
Ash: Thane and Samara not recruited (never went to Ilum) , Legion not activated, Zaeed left for dead post-suicide mission, everyone else alive
Chroma: Mordin, Morinth and Tali only casualties
Gill: Wrex, Miranda and Morinth only casualties
Shianni: Wrex, Mordin, Morinth and Tali only casualties
John, no one other than Morinth dead
Not mentioned the VS but basically out of the 16 playthroughs it's a tie at 8 deaths a piece.
Why I do all those deaths? simple,,, "So many variables"

I'm sorry but i find this flawed logic simply because not having squadmates means no cameos. Sure, some previous squadmates are somewhat integral (Wrex, Mordin) and their death will give you a different variation of the mission; but for all those who are up for cameos, the alternative is no cameo. I thought you would've learnt that from the ME1 to ME2 import.

*double facepalm*
You mean like how the scene with Wreav plays out differently if you didn't recruit Wrex rather than kill him on Virmire?
I could go on further but it's clear you haven't truly thought things through and thus I don't want to make you look anymore stupid than you have done yourself. Especially when you pointed out that I was right with regards particular people and thus it isn't flawed logic is it.
I suggest next time before making a fool of yourself, you re-read your post before clicking the submit button.
