I doubt it. I feel as though they'd definitely have told us by now -- that and one of the art designers had something the other day somewhere about wishing they could do more designs with the Mako throughout the series but it wasn't well-received.

The Mako never ceased to exist because we couldn't control it.

Although, no sooner did I type up my reply than something crossed my mind which I hadn't considered before: with the attempted diversity in gameplay mechanics we've seen in ME3, I wouldn't be wholly surprised if we could drive the Mako for a single mission somewhere.

I believe there was a Dev tweet that you won't be driving vehicles for the Main Missions.  Did not extend to a single Mission, or having Mako's appear in a mission.

I thought that didn't look like a Mako, but one of those other tanks you see sitting around but never being operated.

That's definetely not a M29, so much we can tell.

My problem was never the Mako, really, it was the level design of the side planets. The main missions were fine, but the side ones involved a lot of boring and tediousness.

I agree any vehicles are great, why not having better, awesome hover vehicles!!! It's the future isn't it?

From what I'm given to understand, vehicle sections are back, but this time the player can't control the movement of them. Y'know, to promote mass market accessibility for morons who aren't good at playing games and adapting to steering controls that might confuse and frustrate them.  Innovation!

Instead, the player is relegated to a passenger/gunner role for on-rails chase sequences. aewsome button.

Yes! Can a Bioware developer just tell us whether the Mako or a similar vehicle for exploration akin to ME1 will be back?

What I never understood is why people tended to dislike Mako so much.
I miss it so dearly, I hope it will come back... also that we will get to ride it on rocky planets.
It was really fun it made dull flat planets where nothing was happening interesting. And trying to destroy it was fun too.

It had poor controls and handling. Tanks don't typically jump 345678 in the air after running over a rock.

Mass effect fields. ;)

Tanks aren't usually dropped from high up in the atmosphere either!

Screw the Mako. I'd much rather have the Hammerhead with more armor and secondary fire.

WHAT?! /preordercancelled.

I feel dirty for overusing that joke...

Anyway I hope there will be some form of piloting a vehicle, and exploration, not just passenger seat.

Hammerhead for life.

Yeah, I said it. Someone had to.

I like both vehicles though. Just prefer the Hammerhead. I'll take speed and having to stay on my toes like crazy because I've got paper-thin shielding over slow sturdiness when it comes to vehicles. Been maining the A-Wing in those old X-Wing/TIE Fighter games for a long time.

I would be fine with the Hammerhead of the darn thing could take a shot.I wonder if itll pop up in ME3 as well....Would be funny to see it take shot for the Mako and come out unharmed.

Makes me wonder if Shepard will be piloting a small fighter at some point...

Yeah, sorry man, but I guess too many people complained about not liking the controls.  Games that play themselves are the future, haven't you heard?  Cinematic!
