Is Mako back as a vehicle?! :O

It would be nice to see DLC/sidequests with some vehicle use in explorable environments, mako/HH/new vehicle to satisfy everyone.

From what I'm given to understand, vehicle sections are back, but this time the player can't control the movement of them. Y'know, to promote mass market accessibility for morons who aren't good at playing games and adapting to steering controls that might confuse and frustrate them. Innovation!
Instead, the player is relegated to a passenger/gunner role for on-rails chase sequences. aewsome button.
What a surprise.....

If it done in small dosages, I can deal with it, but if I wanted to drive a vehicle in a video game I'd play a racing game.

Oh there you are! I was wondering who to thank for encouraging EAware to turn Mass Effect into a cinematic corridor shooter/dating sim. They have these really great things for people who are rubbish at video gameplay, but still want the story - they're called "movies". Thought you might be interested.
**someone tells me they've added a 'story' mode to ME3**
Oh. I see. Looks like you all got your wish. Again. Nevermind then, carry on.
Yeah, no. I'm not going to let you all encourage the removal of more features from games because you're not good at them without calling you on it.
I'm really starting to want to ignore you, and it only took...one post - congratulations! I'm going to point out that the only thing you seem to be doing here is insulting people rather than having anything resembling an actual argument. Or can you can actually explain to me how story mode takes any features away from the game when we can all play in RPG mode? The only thing story mode does is allow those who have zero combat skills to enjoy the game. That doesn't in any way remove features from the game.
As for the Mako, I think it sucked - and not because I couldn't drive it since I could actually drive it. The problem is that the handling was atrocious and that climbing mountains on certain planets was not fun, not to mention the fact that there was a dearth of meaningful/exciting planetary exploration.
The only person who needs to be called out about anything is you for your behavior.

King Minos your post just broke my heart a little. If this is where games are going then well to quote Professor Farnsworth "I don't want to live on this planet anymore."
I do what i do best, i believe the post I quoted earlier is going to be true.

Well, I certainly don't want to offend your delicate sensibilities, so please, ignore me.
Regarding the rest of your statement, you say that having the option to use story mode doesn't take anything away from people who choose to use RPG mode. Consider the fact that it took time, and money to develop, iterate and implement that "feature"..... resources that could have been better spent making the GAME better for people who enjoy GAMES, not semi-interactive movies. I'm okay with developers trying to make better GAMES, but putting in a "press x to win" system cheapens the experience.
You then go on to (and this is rich) say that the Mako wasn't fun climbing mountains on certain planets. So then why don't you take your own advice and not do that? No one forced you to try to drive the mako up a 65 degree slope on the completely optional planets that had them.
The attitude of "I didn't like it, so take it out" is exactly what you are doing, while at the same time attacking me for saying "it wasn't that bad, can't we leave it in?".

No she is attacking you because you were acting like a douchebag not because you disagreed with her on an in game feature. Don't twist people's words around.

Story mode is really just a difficulty setting on very easy. Nothing worth whining about.
Okay, I will concede to you that point for now, but at the same time, does allowing the removal of anything even remotely challenging about a game not bother you? Where's the enjoyment that comes from a sense of accomplishment from completing such a game? Sure, all games these days have an 'easy' mode, but this? I don't know, it just seems like one bridge too far, encouraging an increasing appetite for games without the 'game'.
I like a game treating me like I have something attached on top of my brainstem. I'm not talking about nightmare mode or enemies with ridiculous health, I'm talking about a mode that doesn't give me tutorials, map markers, waypoints, reminders to reload, etc. and actually trusts me to find my way, follow the right person and pilot my own damn vehicle. Give me that mode, and then I will be more than happy to let people have their story mode.
But that's not the way things are going.

There is a difference between insulting someone and disagreeing with them. She wasn't giving you crap because you disagreed with her on the mako she was give you crap because you were insulting someone else that had a different opinon than you had.

The "optional multiplayer" is on disc, why not "optional vehicle" sections? Allow folks to max out their readiness on foot alone, but let the rest of us have that opportunity.Mesina2 wrote...
No, Bioware confirmed we will not have any vehicle to drive in any mission related to main plot.
DLC's maybe.
Hey, if they can make an iPod game that's part of GaW...
