Indeed. Although I wish they would show a renegade decision with a postiive outcome, if only to assure the renegade fans. As it is it just plays into their fears.

i wouldnt mind playing full renegade though because id love to see how the ending will go for that.

could it mean you only got one or 2 species helping you take back earth or could it be hey shepaloo ticked em off so much humans have to fight alone now?


because if you think about it this game is like me1 on steroids and liara even stated the galaxy sees humans as bullies so that could play a factor

So do paragons.  The way they get things done and the attitude they take is where they differ, their mission is the same though.

I think it's safe to say that a lot of dialogue options are just sort of "SCREW YOU GUYS I DO WHAT I WANT I'M SO COOL".


The actual decisions are the interesting part of a Renegade character.

The Asari are so caught up in their own superiority complexes that they don't listen to others. Personally, I'm going to renegade that scene then kill them all anyway without the Asaris help. I need need to kissass to idiots to get the job done.

No offense, but in a game where you need to unite and rally as many people as possible I don't see your mindstate accomplishing anything besides a win for the Reapers.

Probably not. The morality system in this game is a mess. As if paragons are the only ones that can use charm and renegades just get through by being bullies. Take a character most people know for example, Han Solo, he's a renegade but he gets by more on charm and wit than by pushing people around.

Oh, I've been hoping for a while this would be the last series to use the morality system(except Star Wars, but it has a clear Light/Dark side, and it still gets some situations wrong in SWTOR.  I can give you an example if you want.)  I'm 100% paragon, and 60-70% renegade, and it kind of sucked when I could no longer use renegade persuasions after a certain point(If you're wondering, I use a lot of intimidating options for enemies).

Like I said, the dialogue choices for Renegade Shepard undeniably make him a jerk. It's just a problem that Bioware has with dialogue; KOTOR does the same thing.

KOTOR I can deal with. The Dark Side is supposed to be evil. Renegade is a different story, or at least it should be.

Well, there are schools of thought who feel the same way about the Dark Side, but that's a whole other discussion entirely. I agree with you on everything else. It's just silly writing.

I'm not looking to unite the galaxy. I'm looking to get as many useable war assets in the galaxy available as I possibly can. I'll save the uniting for those who give a damn about being politically correct.

I think uniting the whole galaxy is a bit of a stretch kinda like peace on earth but no doubt you'll be able to do it. I am with Adanu on that. I doubt I would unite the races without a guide anyway

Sure, put some consequences down the road (less Asari support later), but that'd be a wicked-evil scene.
