They are the harvesters, I think. They were in ME2, they dropped off the Kilxen during Grunts loyalty mission, and that random side mission on the toxic planet.

They were in ME2, dude. They just weren't huskified then.

They were supposed to be in me1 as well but budget and time constraints made it that they had to be cut

Not only that, but they were actually designed and even rigged for ME1 - but were never implimented. Apparently they were meant to be only defeatable with the Mako.

I pictured Harvesters as ships, abducting organics beings and transforming them into Husks. Think of the game Prey and the organic dumps from Quake 4 with the zombies in it.

Damp, dark, bloody, screams in the air, odd flickering light etc etc.

I kill everything on-foot without fail in ME1 so I can get max experience. I'm glad I didn't have to find a way to make Shepard and Company fly up into the sky.

yeah... well, that vid does not play for me ('yay' for being in germany). i've seen pictures of that, though.
