First of all, sorry if there's already a solution of sorts for this in the forums, but I've searched and found nothing that helped me.

The issue is simple:

The game is not running as it should, and I see no reason for it. It lags a lot during cut scenes, and very often during regular gameplay too, specialy with quick turns of the mouse, it'll all freeze for a second or two before continuing. When it works properly, it really flows greatly.

My specs are the following:

Intel Core i5 cpu 2.67Hz
8 GB Ram
Windows 7
Graphic Board: Asus GTX 550

(Not having huge tech knowledge, I know enough to say that I should be running the game with no hiccups?)

I've tried different game settings, but the game pressists.
I've now tried it with Anisotropic Filtering off,Dynamic Shadows off too,as well as motion blur.

The problem does not go away.

Anyone has any idea of what I could do to make the game work as it should?

From what you did list, the basic hardware should have no problems, but the performance is as much a function of the OS and supporting software as anything, and you chose to skip right over all of that information. There is a guide to writing a problem report at the top to follow that Pacifien worked hard on. Use it, if we are to be able to get any further.

Alright, took a couple of screenies from the configuration utility with all the specs stated there.

Not really sure what else other than this would be needed.

The only thing that really stands out to me, is no driver listed for the video card...You may have to redownload and install the driver and see if it picks it up. You may also check to see if the latest driver works with ME2, Nvidea has some issues with older games not working well with latest drivers.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could explain why the following happens to me? I decided that I wanted to edit the bloom scale in the coalesced.ini folder, (changing from 0.2 to -0.5). This is all I changed, and when I went to play the game it worked perfectly. However, when I went to squad select at the beginning of the level, all of the characters which I hadn't even unlocked yet were selectable. Why is this?

Dude, this worked. The drivers were up to date, but for some reason, the previous instalation must've bugged out somehow. When I downloaded and instaled it again, the game started working fine again.

More than that, it also fixed a very similar issue I was having with Skyrim.

Cheers man, thanks!

Also, Laird : That is weird as hell and I have no idea what is happening there :S

Try posting in the ME2 Characters forum, they usually handle the editing/modifiying of game there.  Modding was user created content so they put it in the Fan creation forum.
