Hey guyz,
i am currently using alistar as a tank and Shale i guesse as a side tank along with kick ass damage cuz i am having him be the damage spec with quake and wat not. he is very useful because he can take a beating and still keep going with mad good damage. but do u think i should use his as a tank or keep alistar there?

I used Shale as my main tank throughout my campaign at normal setting she worked out just fine. I usually use her defensive mode though as it gives her higher armor value. However I honestly can't say I had tried out the offensive mode enough to say it wouldn't work. You can buy higher level items for her latter on so that her armor value and other attributes seem to scale well as the story progress. The main difference though is that she never get knock down or stun protection talents that shield and two handed talent tree offer so there been battles where she spend half her time on her butt or stun. However she maintain agro and let rest of the party kill so I was happy.

I had the issue with Shale being knocked down, but with AoE stun, and ungodly aggro gaining abilities I never had an issue with her not keeping aggro, even knocked down on her butt

Shale requires micro-management(what people familair with WoW might call a stance dance) to get the most out of her while other warriors generally have one main function. Your choice of a tank should really be whomever you like the most in terms of conversations, they all have their funny moments.

It's all based on your play-style. Shale is a very effective tank when it comes to holding aggro (I noticed this in Warden's Keep when I went there late in the game) and at a certain point at level 18 (First time I used her) I noticed that she was healing 'during' the fight. They would chip away at her health and within seconds it would be back up based on how long they had been fighting.
Shale is a very effective tank, but her DPS is just as effective as I stated at the beginning of my post it is all based on how you want to play.

Her self heal is quite helpful, Shale+Wynn is almost unstoppable.
