Hey everyone, I am debating whether to get this game right away. However I have one question that has been eating away at me. I am nearly finished with my ME2 playthrough after ME1 playthrough and I havent purchased the DLC yet and possibly will.
However the question is: Is the Coop just survival type?? Or does it have missions??

There are missions, but they aren't really plot-related.
You just fight to capture areas from the game.

May I ask for a source please. I found the hard way that you cannot trust some posters in the forums. Sorry but can I have a source.
And What type of missions are we looking at?? Cuz I have a good friend debating on this and says that he will get this if the coop is reasonable. Like a good mission. not just Hack this computer then your done. I want a good fight a long mission per mission. Stuff like that. Something to make coop worth the time and money.

It's like Survival and Missions mixed, it like other games you played but better.
Seriously where have most of you been the last few years? I had the game since day one of both releases, played many times. These related topics are getting annoying. It's good too play the first because it's always the best. The second good, Mass Effect 3 will be Epic, great. I can't wait.
You should play the games, all of them more than once including DLC!!

Yeah, they are mostly objective based. Some are also survival. It is randomized each day by the Galaxy at war system

I had part 1 and 2 since release dates as well. But Part 1 I decided to do a perfect runthrough with minor mistakes which is nothing major that affects ME3. ME2 is at the suicide mission right now. Gonna buy the DLC possibly Monday since I got this entire weekend reserved to AMCHD for The Walking Dead marathon/new episode. But Gonna do the Demo Day 1 and focus on that as well as Beta to find even tiny mistakes or major ones and help change it. Mass Effect ALL THE WAY

if your looking to do a "perfect" run, you'll have to read into the story a lot. There is adverse effects for all paragon/renegade runs, so you going for a paragade?

No I am not. My Mass Effect 1 character was 100% Paragon with like 10% Renegade. Mass Effect 2 so far has 100 Paragon with approx 10 to 15 Renegade. Im aiming for 100 Paragon with each character since perfect ending in ME3 is at least 100 Para from my opinion.ituneuout wrote...

On other hand, I cannot wait to play as Turians in MP. I love Garrus and he is sooooo awesome. Cant wait to make my character exactly like him

Think of it as a combo of Horde mode and Moder Warfare coop. Some are missions with objectives and some are survival mode. At least that is how I understand it.

I am really hoping I can play coop with system link, but I am worried I will have to play over xbox live.
I hate the internet when I can't use it for gaming.

Probably no system link since EA wants to use that stupid online pass.

Kinda wondering where people are getting this 'sometimes its survival, sometimes its not'. From everything I've seen its survival with random bonus objectives thrown out. Like wave 3 will have 1-4 locations you have to capture, hack, do whatever. And its only for bonus points/creds not something you 'have' to do to advance.
Pretty sure the whole of the game online is survival wave-basede mode with random bonus objectives. I've never seen or read anything that states otherwise. Thinking its more wishful thinking extrapolated from when they said there would be random objectives.
Which there are, but it's not the focus or terms of success in a multiplayer match. Surviving the waves are.
