Oh hey there buddy let's calm down there.  At the end of the day we are both just forumites who have jobs in real life and commitments just like any other.

The difference by my presence on the forum and yours is that I am supporting the franchise with positive outlook on the upcoming title, speaking with others about the game and debating/talking about the features, and that I'm not out to kill someone at BioWare with pure cynicism in every post.

You have been beating your dead horse about how ME2 started to lose you from your belief of where ME1 was headed.  You didn't like the direction it went it, we get it and now you are even more dissatisfied with the series that you are most definitely not going to buy the game until you have proof you can get some form of enjoyment out of it.

At first I'm sure we all enjoyed the super critic in you but you have made your point and now you are just hating on every forumer and putting them down because they don't mind the direction BioWare went in and want to discuss the game without fear of reprisal for their trust in the company that owns the franchise and can do with it what they will.

So it didn't go the direction you wanted and so your complaints haven't had any visible effects so far on the series.  What could your goal be at this point?  I just can't seem to understand where you find your fun in this and if the game leaves such a sour taste in your mouth why you continue to be here despite you having said your opinion multiple multiple times.  What do you still have to prove?

The power of plot. That's how.

I can see Cerberus getting a small army, but a fleet? All that mass-produced high-tech equipment?
No way Hose!

Guys just because Saphra is an unpleasant individual doesn't mean that his point is invalid. Cerberus is obviously a plot device with many, many inconsistencies, especially in the expanded universe. The writing definitely leaves something to be desired, but we see better and better writing for video games every year, so I'm not worried about the overall state of the gaming industry in terms of narrative quality. There's still plenty of room for improvement at this point, but as gaming becomes more mainstream and attracts higher quality writers things will only get better in that department. Mass Effect's writing is still some of the best out there for video games, and it's still the most cinematic experience you can have playing a game.

The one thing that annoys me more than the depressing people around here are the blindly optimistic people who get angry the second anyone suggests that Mass Effect isn't perfect.

Oh another mini quote again, and I thought we were getting somewhere.  I'm done talking with you just like you should have been done with this forum by now.  I've made my side of the argument/opinion/voice of reason, you can either read it or ignore it.

Judging from your poor behavior with others its clear what your opinion will be either way, but I won't be here for you to bite my hand off.  If you can't offer me respect or any other forumer who has even hinted at liking the game respect then you deserve none in return.

@Sage

I totally agree that Saphra has brought up legitimate concerns and that those who are blindly in love with the franchise need a wake up call.  What I have a problem with is how Saphra treats these people, the forum, and his general attitude toward the game and the fact that he has brought up his concerns before and is really just beating a dead horse at this point.

And if the franchise is going in a bad direction, then you are supporting something bad.
Your presencise is only positive because you see it as such. Saphras is only negative because you see it as such.

Repetitorum est mater studiorum.
You have to repet things again and again for them to sink in to everyone. If Saphra is campaignin for changes in the way Bio is designing games, then just stating his displeasure once and going away won't have any effect whatsoever.

If he's campaigning and wanting a positive outcome for future BioWare games then he is sure one selfish guy since he doesn't seem to care what the rest of this community thinks. Clearly all he thinks is wrong with the game is wrong because he and a few others back him up while the rest of the community is too stupid to understand the problems he preaches about

If he is trying to improve the future of BioWare the least he can do is be respectful to other fans no matter how they differ on his opinion.

Person2: No stupid I am right you are wrong!
Person1: Bioware writes bad stories that is why I hang out on their forums for 10 hours a day!

I'm not so sure about that. Not that video games have necessarily gotten worse, mind you, but I don't know that they've gotten better.

The inconsistency is something you would have to ponder on to realize it, I guess. If you don't, everything seems ok superficially.

In terms of net progress, I think if you look at the last 10 years it's gotten better.  The smaller the time frame you look at the less representative it will be of the actual progress.  If I had to guess I would say that the next 10 years will net a significant progress as well.  Just my opinion/hypothesis.

Don't understand or don't care - it matters little. Everyone is out to promote their own interestest. That is normal.
You want the game to be like you want, he wants it to be like he wants.

Not sure if it got explained fully, but what happened to the rest of the abducted humans that didn't turn into nutrition-milk for the human reaper? TIM mentioned at the start of ME2 that there were hundreds of thousands of people missing. Maybe some of them were outfitted with reaper tech and then sent off into battle?

I think most joined because Shepard was with Cerberus. Yes I can image it now, The Illusive man's brilliant recruitment scheme.
Step 1 : Raise Shepard,
Step 2 : Use him and his likeness for recruitment and get him to take on the collectors.
Step 3 : Profit.
Maybe that would explain why the VS was pissed at Shepard " your with Cerberus now ? ".

propaganda and conscription from refugees, quite easy.

Yeah, but training? and fleets, equipment, ect.? I kinda see this as an oversight on bioware's part. I takes months or years to create an effective army that size.  Thats why "star Wars: episode II" style cloning might be the way...

We cannot proof that every Cerberus member is highly trained especially if they take the path of war.
