Don't agree. IMO the default Shep looks appropriate for her age, especially with 2186 tech, where the average human life expectancy is about 120 years if I remember right.
but why does she look like a 16 year old catholic school girl?

Bah, I can't figure it out. Still a fancy trailer though, and a clever decision by Bioware to show footage of her that isn't already covered in a Shepard-Commander video.

150. Could be greater since we have no real comparison. 150 inKenLyns wrote...

ME's universe might be comparable to being 65, which would mean that a
person still had plenty of life left before they were "old" old.
Most people seem to forget that. If Shepard can headbutt a Krogan with no issue and fight a Yahg in melee combat, Shepard, regardless of gender, can deck Vega.Draconis6666 wrote...
All arguments about the differences in the sparing vs male or female Shepard are negated by the fact that Shepard is a Zombie Cyborg so general rules do not apply

I've been having this argument too. I know humans can live that long (and I think in the books we were described as looking 20 for most of it) but I wished femshep had a touch of maturity about her look. Not old. Mature.
Of course I take all that back after seeing the trailer. She definitely looks mature in action.
+1 for zombie cyborgs

After six repeated viewings, I still can't nail it down. There's something odd abut Shepard-Commanderress' face. It feels like her eyes are bit too high on her face, or her forehead is too prominent.

I know! I totally agree. Maybe it's the cheeks or chin or just. She just looks.. Wrong.. Not fully human. I can't really decide what it is either.
And I'm one of these people that don't like the look of generic Fem Shep at all. Imo she looks terrible,, not counting the fact that she looks somehow wrong too.

Most of my ME playthroughs are with the femshep - her voice just sets the right tone throughout the game. Jennifer does an excellent job of expressing what is going with her voice acting.

I'm starting to forget my issues with Origins and starting to wonder why fuss over it with such a great game.
This is what I get for being gone for over a week.

Looking at the artwork and the cover, I might have swapped the FemShep look I have for this voted by the community (options I chose by the way).
However after seeing this trailer, I think she looks terrible and very different to previous images. I admit to sucking at making faces in games, SWTOR's method is perfect to me, but think I can make better ones than in the trailer. Everything else is awesome, just the face.
After playing the demo today I wish to take back most of what I said criticising FemShep. Only things I disagree with are that the hair doesn't seem red enough (maybe in the future redheads die out and a brunette/red hybrid exists) and how the eyebrows look a different colour to the main hair. Still not totally convinced on the likeness to artwork, but on my tv screen I felt happier with her.
