I am having difficulty playing SW:TOR for a while now because of how imminent this game is.

Not saying he's holding back, just saying he never actually makes contact. Like Ash's sister. He tries to hit her, but never lands a punch and gets knocked-out/taken down.
This game IS rated M. The legal drinking age is 21. And no one gets their hands on alcohol before they're 21, right?
And, I personally think it's easier to disseminate blowing an alien's brains out than it is to beat another human being to death with a baseball bat.
I get what you're saying, but just because he doesn't hit her doesn't make it demeaning. Heck, I think what I'm suggesting makes FemShep look better than the alternative, to be quite honest.
No, that's double standards. It's okay for MShep to get a few hits and still win, but FShep has to be uber awesome because propriety dictates men shouldn't hit women? Or better yet, the reason she can't get hit is because she'll crumble after one measly punch while MShep can take a few good licks before going down? I dislike preferential treatment for both sides. I remember looking at fitness tests in PE and seeing stuff like "girls have to do 20 push-ups to pass" while "guys have to do 50 push-ups to pass". That's preferential treatment. It encourages women to acknowledge themselves as the weaker sex and that it's okay to be so weak because they're still good...for a girl.
Not even gonna get in the age limit. I've been watching rated R movies since I was six and I've never killed anybody or gotten into fights at school. My blood knight tendencies didn't start to develop until I was around 14, and I know how to limit it to sports and video games. Just making a point that the game isn't intended for children, so it shouldn't be a factor.

Sooo...you just want to have every optional action you don't agree with removed from the game?Ice Cold J wrote...

TBH, I'm WAAYYY more excited over seeing Legion, Jacob, Miranda, and Samara in the trailer than I am seeing the new FemShep model.
BTW, kinda hoping they redo the scene with Vega so he's not seen punching out FemShep. We've seen him land a few on Sheploo, so I hope they tweak it a little. Maybe he throws some punches, but she dodges them?
EDIT: Also, "Tell your friends we're coming for them." = BEST line I've heard from the trailers so far.
From what I saw, it looks like Femshep punched Vega out.
Really, really awesome trailer BioWare! And I agree about the last line being the best line so far.
There'll probably be a line about him being uncomfortable about sparring with a lady and then her convincing him that she can kick his ass. Keep in mind that maleshepard still PUNCHES WOMEN (the reporter from me1 and 2) :E
Yeah, I remember that. I WISH they'd done something about that, but it's too late now.
In regards to your comment about children viewing the content - I would be much more worried about my children seeing a scene where a woman abuses her authority over a man and uses her gender as an excuse to pummel him without consequence. I don't want my sons to grow up being the punching bag of any woman, and I don't want my daughters to think that sort of behavior is acceptable. What I want to see is a fair, friendly fight between two consenting adults.

Ideally the scene should begin with Shepard (both) dominating, Vega confiming wether it is acceptable to punch a superior officer and then smash cut to Shepard bleeding on the floor, his/her body twisted into a pretzel

It's just an observation, but I'm beginning to believe those with flat box faces on their avatars are best when they're ignored. So far every post I've seen with that avatar has been astoundingly negative and rage inducing.
This said, I really enjoyed the trailer. The anticipation for this game keeps rising higher than my desire to slay all haters.
Thank you, Bioware, for keeping me from homicidal mania.
I'm sorry if my comments induced rage, but I'm not sure that saying I was underwhelmed by the new trailer can be categorised as "astoundingly negative". I think because we've been treated to a number of new trailers recently, because of the anticipation of seeing femshep for the first time, and bioware's awesome CGI trailers for Mass Effect 2 (which in my original post I pointed out promted me to buy an xbox) and Star Wars: The Old Republic, I think my expectations were too high.
I too, enjoyed the trailer, but it didn't really excite me in the way the previous trailers have done. I'm still super-excited about playing ME3 and would like to point out to Hyrist that I'm certainly not a hater.

It was ok. Didn't think it was very good though tbh. I felt tension and action in the ShepLoo trailer, in this one... nothing. Also, the femshep (if she's modeled on the promo vote we did) looks nothing like her. And her eyes are hidious X_XChris Priestly wrote...
Well, the fans asked for it and we have finally delivered.
