Yeah, no.

^ Agrees... once you see Vaan, Hope, or any of the other FF male leads that have come after FFVIII, you realize that the new 'default' FemShep is much more of a baddass.

 


Fixed that for ya .. Hope is not a lead character and never was and  Vaan is  debatable considering that he served as nothing more than the narrator for the  FFXII.

no, i will damn well complain.

femshep is just as valid as dudeshep, and she should have been included in trailers and had a high-res model years ago. when casey hudson finally acknowledges this? he gives us what basically looks like a sex doll from bioshock infinite. she's got no attention to detail compared to the technical achievement that is sheploo; it's obviously half-assed.

so no, i will not be grateful that the one trailer femshep players get looks like absolute trash.

I can kind of see where you're coming from but I think most of us have accepted that Sheploo is, and will always be, the face of Mass Effect. That's why so much attention to detail was put into him. He's their entire marketting strategy over the course of all three games. It just so happens that BioWare have woken up and decided to give a nod to some of their loyal fans. That doesn't mean that FemShep has equality in marketting, because she clearly doesn't, but I think it's nice that they've put some effort into it at least. 

That said, most of us play custom characters anyway so Sheploo isn't what most of us will be looking at whilst we play. That doesn't mean they haven't put as much effort into all of Shepard(s) but there are limitations when it comes to customisation. I just think of this FemShep as another customisation. 

I am glad to see FemShep got her own official art at last though. 

Personally, I'm grateful for this trailer. It shows that they do listen to their fans, even when it isn't always in line with their own marketting vision.

my primary issue is that she's not supposed to be another customization.

this new femshep that we all (stupidly) voted on is supposed to be the equivalent of sheploo. we were promised a high-resolution, marketing-ready jane shepard. we were given a glorified CC failure.

i'm so happy for watch finally Female Shepard into official game trailer, i'm play Mass Effect only whit Female Shepard, and i need more video and more attention of Female Shepard, because Mass Effect not have only Male protagonist, the story have 2 version of the heroes.

Awesome Trailer!!! I love the new FemShep look. I have a few custom FemSheps but I'll definietly do a default one for sure now.
And I don't mind the makeup. Not even a bit. I mean who knows how quickly women can apply makeup 160 years later in the future? Even a female soldier can look pretty. That's a privilige for women.

Is there object-based motion blur now? I noticed it in the trailer, where there are individual glass shards blurred based on their movement and not camer movement.

I hope that's in-engine and not just added in post-production.

Unreal 3 does have this, at least as of the GoW3 release.  Not sure what version ME3 uses though.

Is it just the lighting, or does she sometimes have less makeup and sometimes more? I just notice that in most of the action shots and mostly when she wears armor, she seems to have less color on lips than when she is wearing civilian clothing....

Might be the lighting though.

Yeah, it's not Miranda if she's not showin off that ass. She's not the armor-wearing type. I would like there to be alternate styles for her but since she's not a squad mate, she probably just wears that.
