Yeah, we shouldn't have to look like men in order to be able to kick arse. I prefer a more feminine looking FemShep anyway. She can still retain her femininity whilst she saves the galaxy, I say.
And if we don't like it, that's what customisation's for.
Spot on! I have... about four different fem!Sheps. Different class, Renegade/Paradon/Paragade... and all different looking. Some more feminine, some less; some with long hair, some with crew cut; some with make-up, some without. And all of them are ready, willing, and able to save the galaxy! Just like Sheploo.

What I would like to know is how people can complain about her pale-ness. Have you ever met ginger people in real life? We do NOT tan. I am ginger and if I get exposed to sun for a bit I turn into a lobster for a while and then return to my original super-paleness. This is...just normal. XD
She could lose a bit of the lipstick...but it's by no means a deal-breaker. But that's just me. <shrug>
Indeed. I'll never understand why so many westerners aren't a fan of the porcelain.
i am porcelain. i also have red hair. i am also 24, a good ten years younger than shepard, and people often say i look 20.
i have more lines and definition on my face than femshep.
that's the problem, more than just paleness.

I also think her make-up is a bit heavy and I have a couple other minor nitpicks, but overall, I love the new look. My canon fShep won't change, but my redheaded, hard charging Vanguard will.
I wonder how she'll look using Ashley's face texture, if/when we can supplant parts.

I work with a couple gingers, and we all work nights so we get even less sun than the average person.
Her paleness and freckles aren't a problem for me, as I said I love the look. I only wish for a lighter hand on the make-up and more in the way of muscle mass, I like amazons
I think she (and everyone else) could use more military discipline also, but these are just nitpicks and will not stop me from enjoying the new look or the game.
Well done, BW.

Considering Lara Croft's Recent Games, i'm not sure that's insult or not.

Actually I'm getting a minor Joana Dark vibe. (Not the PD Zero incarnation)

god she looks so ****ing terrible. look at the hands and comically pale skin and huge eyes and blow-up doll lips compared to sheploo up there.
thanks, bioware, for throwing us not only just a scrap but a rotten scrap.
god, imagine how excellent this trailer would have been if old!default femshep had been used.
This again makes me wondering what was the point in redesigning her, if she's just another Creator Created face? I was hoping for a more realistic looking face, like with Male Shep, but instead that didn't happen. I'm not a fan of the original default face for Femshep, but if they were just making another character created face, then I'd first they stick with the old one.
Keep in mind, for all I know, they did scan a model for this one. But even if they did, that doesn't change how it doesn't show.

Kudos for Jennifer Hale. I never really liked how she voiced Commander Shepard, but she really did an amazing job in this trailer!
Second:
I never really liked any custom femShep I ever saw. Most custom femSheps are ugly, including my own custom femShep. The old default femShep is ugly too. But I'm really happy to see that the new default femShep is looking awesome! She looks like a real kick-ass babe!
People, I think I might actually start to like femShep after all!

My friend (who my ginger femshep is based on) is the same way...I wish people wouldn't be so oblivious to this fact.
Indeed.
