It's probably her father or someone we haven't met yet

I'd rather play as Lady Hawke! Give her long red hair and she would be perfect
1 in 5 is not a low percentage. and iirc that statistic is dudeshep only, since he has the unchangeable face. if he had a female high-resolution (which this shep is empirically not) counterpart, it would most likely go up.Random Jerkface wrote...
Not sure about DAII, but IIRC, only 20% of all Shepards are default.you honestly think only a handful of people play john shepard or garrett hawke? i and the bioware collected user data assure you that that's not the case, and there are a lot of reasons for it.

the BSN has sunk to a new low in complete nonsense.
Agreed. And what difference does it make, anyway? I'd guess MOST of us have our own femSheps built, so how does this affect your playthrough? That's right, it doesn't.
Maybe BioWare should have solicited images of BSN user's femSheps, and
had a contest to see which one everyone liked the most...nah, that
probably wouldn't help.
I have no idea why its such a big deal especailly when you can customize the face if you don't like it - change the face its not that complicated or that big of deal.
Bold because this has been my biggest issue with Bioware - sometimes listen to fan feed back is great but there are times when they go too far. She should have just hired an artist and model for her like they did Sheploo and said DEAL WITH IT and moved on. When it comes to something likes this no one is going to be happy.

I think the lighting also distorts the model.
The hair is a bit too dark but the face structure is fine. IMO.

1) Her face proportionality is off...I think I can even pinpoint it. It's very wide, and she's got very severe features including a heavy-set jaw, very high and prominent cheekbones, and just a bulky facial structure in general. Then you add a delicate little nose, cute lips, and huge eyes, and it makes it look pretty unnatural. I know BioWare has tried very hard to make a FemShep that looks realistic for us, but I don't think they did that very well. She doesn't look real at all to me...not like any actual person I've ever seen. It's almost as if they tried too hard to combine a strong look with a feminine look, and it's not working.
That's it - that's what was throwing me off about her face before, but I couldn't pinpoint what the specific issue was.

At first, I was gonna make a mild complaint in agreement with the "too much makeup, really weird petite facial features on a strong jaw strucutre etc." crowd, but you know what? This is still some of the best marketing a female character has ever gotten. Nah, it ain't perfect, but Bioware delivered what they promised and they gave FemShep the proper respect she deserves where it matters.
Good job, guys.

If her face is turned to the side slightly or at an angle it looks as though her face is too... out? Forward? I don't really know how to describe it, but that's what's off for me anyways. Other than that and her eyebrows (a bit too heavy but that's my personal preference) I like it. I know Bioware really tried for us and I'm glad there are those that really and truly love her look.
Her trailer is pretty kick ass regardless.
Can't wait to see if they happen to have new hairstyles in store for us. Can't wait to do some customizing. :3
